Kubrick's "The Shining" is just like Lao She's martial arts "Soul Broken Gun". It may not be as thrilling as Jin Yong Gulong in terms of plot, but it is obviously higher in the thickness of literature.
I can say that "The Shining" is the cleanest horror movie I have ever watched. There is no dark environment common to European, American, Japanese and Korean horror movies, no ghost crying and sorrow commonly used in Japanese horror movies, and no blood and blood that is common in European and American horror movies. I personally think that these can only be said to be sensory stimulation, and such horror is the discomfort caused by the strong stimulation of the senses.
Unlike "The Shining", the film easily abandons the sensory stimulation of horror films and creates fear directly in your heart. In the film, the audience witnessed that if a normal person is occupied by a heart demon step by step, this kind of horror of soul erosion is the real horror in a person's heart.
I still remember the sentence: come here, play with us, forever, just a few simple words, and the tension of horror immediately filled my body.
