I watched a movie, Constantine. Although the story is still a cliché hero saving mortals, the ending is still fresh in my memory.
The best friend of the ruffian hero has an ordinary life and family. The love of his wife and daughter is the driving force and source of his daily happy life. But because of the hero's relationship, his daughter was imprisoned by the devil and could not escape. Finally, in order to defeat the devil and not to hurt the daughter of his best friend, the hero cursed the daughter of his best friend. He detonated his daughter's love for the father in the devil's body. At the same time, in order to increase his strength, he also detonated the love of husband and wife and the sincere friendship between them.
The devil was wiped out and the daughter was saved, but the man lost the wife who loved him, the daughter who loved him, and the best friends who grew up with him.
Although the previous hero has done a lot of shameless things, the man has never been angry with his friend, or even a hint of suspicion. But this time, the man mournfully grabbed the hero by the collar and yelled that he had ruined the man's life. He walked hurriedly on the street, desperate and walking corpses.
Although he saved the people he loved, the price was to lose their love forever, and the two have nothing to do with each other. Does this kind of salvation and this kind of sacrifice satisfy oneself or tear oneself apart? How many people can continue their love unselfishly after losing their love?
There may never be such a moment in life that requires tearing apart inner love and facing nothingness, but there are too many unrequited loves.
Narrow-minded, I can never accept unilateral giving. The love in my heart should always be mutual. It is the ultimate law for two individuals to exchange their hearts with each other. The love that is given unilaterally will only gradually hollow out the giving party into an empty individual with no heart.
However, if there is a moment when the love between two individuals needs to be exchanged for the happiness and well-being of the lover, I believe that most people will definitely choose to sacrifice, right?
After all, there is more or less kindness in human hearts. And love is the key to those kindness.
