The person who just finished reading comes to punch a card.

This is the first time I have watched this kind of pseudo-documentary film seriously. I have only watched the graphic version of the horror film "Kunchi Rock" before, which is also a handheld DVD filming format.

Sitting in the movie theater this time, it feels very fresh and very substantiated. It feels like I am the protagonist to experience the storyline.

Some people on the Internet say that Phoenix is a horror movie. Personally, I don’t feel horrible after watching it... at most, the bgm behind it makes people feel a little flustered. I think this movie is more inclined to the style of exploring mystery and solving doubts and even a little brain-burning.

Two lines of the film are going on at the same time, one line is the video taken when the elder brother disappeared, and the other line is the younger sister reopening the investigation after more than ten years.

My sister’s line has a bit of a gradual and progressive feeling of investigating the crime. I can say that my sister has finally found the second camera through many efforts, and I am still a little excited!

Although the foreshadowing of the whole film is quite long, I think these foreshadowing are necessary. There are reasons and effects to describe the restoration of the whole incident in many ways.

The last half an hour is the essence of the whole film, everyone must stick to the front! The more exciting you get to the back, the climax at the last minute and abrupt end, just right. This point is not spoiled, and interested friends can watch it by themselves.

Pseudo-documentary filming methods used to be more foreign films, this time it is quite pleasant to be shown in domestic theaters. I am a person with greater curiosity, and I like to see such a combination of false record form + real unsolved mystery. After all, these themes are inherently attractive and can arouse the curiosity of the viewer.

Finally, a sincere advice to the friends who are going to see in the cinema...Don't sit too far in front...otherwise...

Steve: Well, the first thing you got to do is you got to get your coals hot. Super hot, so when you put it on there, it seals in the juices. Then you don't flip it but one time. That's the secret.

  • Ashley: He shot the footage.

Phoenix Astronomical Society: [to Josh] Oh, you shot the footage? Oh, congratulations! Can you learn to focus?
