Spoiler tells who she is

What is the upright identity of that crazy book fan Elle in the film? Why did she gain the trust of the female writer Delphine so easily, and gradually control Delphine's entire life?

[The following is Ray]

The following is one of the interpretations, and the relevant hints have already appeared shortly after Elle’s appearance. If you take this hypothesis to see the details of each scene, you can gradually confirm it, otherwise you may fall into the cloud of five miles, and blame the director. Procrastination is cumbersome, so it is mysterious. Elle means "she" in French, which is actually the third personality of the heroine who has split from herself. The most obvious evidence is that no one but Delphine would look at Elle, let alone the conversation. Because Elle also means "her", when Delphine and others talk about Elle, others always don't understand who that "she" is.

Elle appeared for the first time when Delphine was too busy to breathe during the autograph session. What put Delphine under tremendous psychological pressure was that she made the story of her deceased mother public in exchange for the achievements of the writer, dug out the dark side of her heart, and opened Pandora's box. Delphine can't continue writing, but Elle is tempting her, using more darkness in her heart as inspiration. Elle, who works as a ghostwriter, is Delphine herself, not only the latter's ideal personality (young, beautiful and hardworking), but also the dark side of her long-repressed. When Elle was a child, she had a imaginary friend, just as Delphine had imagined her—and at the same time hinted at the source of the trauma of father killing.

If Elle is the incarnation of the dark side of Delphine herself, that can explain why Delphine trusts "her" so much. But if people are over-controlled by desire and trauma, it will cause backlash. Elle's damage to Delphine is actually self-destructive.
