The film tells of an unusual relationship between Tilda (Emma Schweiger) and her grandfather Amandus (Diet Hallerwarden). Amandus suffered from Alzheimer's disease. He used to be a humorous and kind grandfather who knew how to enjoy life, but now he has to become like a child. Tilda, who is only 10 years old, can communicate with him. Tilda simply treats the disabled old man as a child and accepts him. The film is told in a humorous way, but it also makes people see the sadness and tears behind the smile.
