There is a movie I have never dared to write about, and that is Yang Dechang's " Guling Street Juvenile Murder ".
This film made me deeply feel the limitations of words, and it also reminded me of Xu Anhua’s words: "Some things cannot be written before they can be made into a movie."
In front of the image of "Guling Street", the text seems to be superfluous. Because it was too rich and complicated, Yang Dechang took three years to write the script, and then it took nearly a year to shoot, and the final film was nearly 4 hours. There were more than four people in the film. 20, many branch lines, crossing each other...
But this is not the most important thing.
The point is that there are too many angles to enter this movie . It is like a black box full of entrances, no matter where you go in, you can touch a part of the core. It has a broad interpretation space, and every angle can be logically self-consistent, not just click to stop.
This makes it particularly difficult to comment on this movie. It seems that you can write it whatever you want, but how you actually write it will leave regrets.
I still remember that the first time I saw this movie was in my sophomore year. I saw the early morning from midnight, and I saw it dimly. I only vaguely remembered the black press on the screen. There were many night scenes and the day was very short. I only remember that Xiao Ming’s face was extremely pale in the night; Zhang Zhen’s young heroic spirit was also in the dim street lamp. Next, it became a gloomy cloud of sorrow.
At that time, "Guling Street" was like an elegy of youth.
What I saw was the innocence of Xiao Si, lost in Xiao Ming's real world ; what I saw was an innocent boy, panicked in front of a precocious girl.
They are two worlds, they are two times, they are midsummer and winter, they are innocence and desolation... They are another complete counterpart with no intersection, so a decisive crack is creeping between them.
However, they want to meet again.
The encounter is the cruelest duel.
Xiao Si is a good child in the eyes of parents, who is good at learning and taciturn. At that time, students all joined gangs to seek asylum, but Xiao Si was always an outsider.
However, he is not weak at all.
When the slippery head deliberately provoked, Xiao Si did not retreat, picked up the bat and swung it down, but fortunately the teacher came out to stop it. He was besieged by the "two-year-old kidnappers" because of Xiao Ming; he was threatened by the slippery head and his men because of Xiao Ming.
After Hani died, he found Xiao Ming who was discouraged and confessed to her.
At that moment, the military band's performance was always ringing, from low to high, as if to cheer up this confession, but it also flooded many intimate words.
At the moment when the music stopped, we finally heard Xiao Si clearly. He said loudly: " I will be your lifelong friend, and I will protect you! "
The soundtrack was edited bit by bit by editor Chen Bowen. He let the military music rise and fall with the mood of the characters, sometimes clear and sometimes chaotic, just like the relationship between Xiao Ming and Xiao Ming. silence.
Unlike Xiao Ming, Xiao Ming is out of place among her peers. She matures too early. Many people love her and she loves many people. This is her rule of survival.
Gradually, Xiao Si saw Xiao Ming's incurable "dissolute" nature, so on that quiet evening, in the crowded street, he stabbed a knife into Xiao Ming's abdomen severely.

So sure, as if as long as she destroys her body, she can pierce the beautiful illusion and destroy the hypocritical world.
This is the "Guling Street" in my eyes when I was young, and I can see the bloody taste of youthful vigor and sadomasochism.
Later, when I saw it for the second time, the emotional line between Xiao Si and Xiao Ming had faded, and I began to pay attention to the people around them.
Such as Hani.
If there is such a thing as a "protagonist halo", more than half of the halo is on Hani's body.

Although the film did not over-extend the shadows left by this death, we can still clearly see that the small four before and after are no longer like two people.

Because in the eyes of Xiao Si, "compromise" is more contemptible than "evil". The slick change seems to be "congruent", but in the eyes of Xiao Si, it is the last loss of dignity.
After Hani's death, Xiaosi became Hani, the old man who committed danger alone.
What he wants to fight against is the adversity of this world, the destruction of idealism, and all the people who have been changed by the world.
So, he stabbed Xiao Ming with the knife.
Because Xiao Ming said, "Fool, this world will never change, who do you think you are?"
This sentence is like the whole real world, making a mockery of Xiao Si, so if he wants to assassinate Xiao Ming, it was originally not a love murder, but a revenge against the real world.
Recently, the third time, I saw those silent adults.
Xiao Si’s father, Zhang Guozhu, always frowned and thought deeply; his mother was always chattering and was dissatisfied with anything...
It was the 48th year of the Republic of China, during the period of martial law in Taiwan. The Xiaosi family came to Taiwan from the mainland and lived in a huge panic about the unknown. They did not know they would live here for a few years, and they did not know how to return. I don't know how to settle down at this moment.
For that era of slaughter, Yang Dechang made a few pens and made the best interpretation with tanks that constantly crossed the streets.

After returning, he changed completely.
Becoming timid and conscientious, I would have nightmares when sleeping at night, and when I heard a little noise, I called the whole family to catch the thief together.

And Xiao Si always carried a flashlight and fumbled in the dark. Although the light was weak and not enough to illuminate a world, Xiao Si stubbornly lit it up, that was his hope.
However, in the light, he saw Xiao Ming fooling around with the slicker; saw tanks passing by cold; saw the scene of the rage with corpses everywhere; saw the adults, from the upright man, crying Become a trembling child.
In the end, Xiaosi returned the flashlight to the crew. He let go of the light and all the possibilities.
He took the knife and walked to the street.
In fact, at this time, it is no longer important who you kill. What is important is to vent, to visualize an abstract world as a person, and to find a practical outlet for the inner anger.
In this way, Xiao Si met Xiao Ming at the corner of the street.
He stabbed it fiercely, one, two, three... until the seventh.
In fact, killing one person is enough.
But Xiao Ming killed Xiao Ming, but he stabbed seven times .
I think that one of the swords should be stab at the slippery head , stab him in a false sense of justice, really cowardly.

The knife stabbed Xiao Ma . He thought Xiao Ma was a lonely hero like Hani, but he didn't want him to be just an extremely narcissistic rich man.

I don't know, the answer is just hanging in the air, it seems that it can drift far away with the wind.
Or maybe it fell heavily on the spot, smashed into the current world, and was heard by everyone.
When Xiao Si was killing someone, he kept shouting: " Nothing! Shameless! "
This is what the father said when he scolded the second brother.
Now, he cursed these words back to this stubborn world.
Can it be heard by everyone?
Maybe it can.
But whenever I think about this question, I keep thinking about the end of the film.
Xiao Si was sentenced to death, and later changed to 15 years in prison for being a minor.
One day after the sentence was pronounced, Cat King came to visit Xiao Si. He wanted to tell Si'er that he had sent his recorded song to the real Elvis, and he also received a reply. Elvis said in the letter that his song was actually in the same place. He was moved by the popularity of the unknown island.
That song is called: Are you lonesome tonight?
Are you lonely tonight?
And the story of Xiao Si, like this unknown island, is destined to be just a small matter in haste time.
