"The King of Comedy" is one of Stephen Chow’s representative works. There are not many obvious funny dialogues and howlings in this movie, but Stephen Chow is actually acting in this film. This is different from the "pretend" in his early movies. The essential difference: For example, at the beginning of the movie, Yin Tianqiu clung to the script, and he declared that he would raise willows for a lifetime, and so on. The shots of this movie are beautifully handled, at least much better than some movies before Zhou Xingchi's "The King of Comedy". The plot of the film is ups and downs, and the theme of the film is also very clear: belief, persistence, and goodness; in addition, the music of the film is also excellent, capturing the popular music elements in love-themed movies.
