Too hard

The overall feeling is similar to "Wolf Warrior 2", both are very well produced, but the film and text are very weak. The film is not as good as Wolf Warriors 2 in terms of script and characters, but it is better than Wolf Warriors 2 in terms of action scenes.

There are still a lot of problems. If you compare with Hollywood, you can only reach the mid-range level, and there is still a little distance from the real masterpiece.

The first is that the characters are too thin and vague. All the characters except Zhang Yihaiqing are flat and functional. Even the character of Haiqing is quite flat, and it is created entirely for the plot service;

Secondly, the scene is not particularly good. Although too many close-up shots seem very compelling, the position and dynamics of the entire battlefield are quite unclear! And this kind of close-up hand-held follow-up shooting for a long time makes people feel very tired.

At this point, Director Lin really should be selling copy studies. His "13 Hours of Crisis" shootout scenes are clear and simple, and the rhythm is also relaxed. As soon as the film is hit to the end, the action scenes from beginning to end all begin to explain the panoramic view, giving a few aerial shots, and the continuous mid-to-close-range fast switching behind, which is really lacking in artistic conception and too simple and rude.

Furthermore, I think that a movie can not be divided into civil and martial arts! It cannot be said that I deliberately designed the literary drama to be weak and martial arts strong, and even used one aspect to replace the other. This imbalance is a drawback. Even "Black Hawk Down" (the movie itself is a special case) has many background stories, including conflicts between the US military and the military.

Many places in this film are not clear enough: which general is the dead African doctor talking to? Who was the killed leader in black talking to? In the end, he didn't explain the master behind the scenes. Deng Mei's husband and children were rescued without even giving a single shot! The cutscene of this film is basically promoted by phone calls. The whole script gives people a loose perspective and lacks a sense of smooth coherence. All the power is used in the action scene that is divided into several large pieces.

Also, I think the soundtrack of the film is not very good. It is very tight and full. I constantly use percussion to create a tense atmosphere. The melody is not so recognizable (that's not good) and even makes me feel a little irritable.

In short, the recent domestic military blockbusters have made great progress in subject areas, production standards, service standards, and military standards. It is indeed refreshing, but from the perspective of the movies themselves, they have not yet reached a very high level, especially In terms of plot, role, theme, film aesthetics and other seemingly soft aspects.

Last but not least: a lot of bloody shots! Never take a child under 16 years old to see it! (I personally think that the film is better than Wolf Warriors 2 in expressing the cruel reality of war, but it is a bit too much in terms of bloody shots, and it is close to the R grade of the North American MPAA!)
