I can really feel Atkinson's exquisite and delicate acting, mature and stable but also affectionate. If Sherlock is a grotesque talented IQ alone, maigret truly shows the ins and outs of the detective's solving the crime. There is no ups and downs of the plot, no brilliant reasoning for solving the case, all the case is like a squeaky cocoon, this kind of calm, smooth and gentle narrative style is also its charm. Maigret's hatred of the perpetrator, sympathy for the victim, and shelter for the innocent all tell us that he is a truly great detective. Our Mr. Bean interpreted him so closely and so perfectly.
