First of all, this movie was shot on the basis of real history, telling a story that is not well known. Compared with the fighting between the Allied forces and the Germans on the battlefield, in the reality that a weak country had to be occupied by the Germans, the king experienced difficult choices for the country's democracy and freedom, and Norway has always been called Norway. The biggest feature of this movie is the characterization of the king. Compared with novels, movies are very difficult to portray the inner feelings of characters. This film uses close-ups, background music, environment rendering and other methods, coupled with the actors' deep and solid performances, to perfectly present the king's inner entanglement, sadness, but very firm emotions to the audience. I think it is a rare masterpiece.
