The Nanjing Massacre can be said to be the pain in the heart of every Chinese. "Rabe’s Diary" does not have too many scenes of killing, violence and other scenes. It narrates the Japanese massacre in Nanjing relatively gently. Feeling the brutality of Japanese soldiers, the film highlights how Rabe, an international friend, saved 200,000 people in Nanjing. In the movie, many flesh and blood characters were portrayed, such as the kind and serious Rabe, the upright Dr. Wilson, the strong and loving Miss Dupree, and the handsome and young Dr. Roman, and successfully portrayed the annoying Japanese officers. The audience goes deep into it and feels immersive. "Rabe's Diary" also made the Chinese people understand a truth by showing history. That is the unchanging philosophy of "being beaten if you fall behind". This year marks the 80th anniversary of the "July 7 Incident". Don't forget the national humiliation, the police scream!
