Time flies, swords are like dreams

The encounter with this film was a complete accident. I wanted to see Akira Kurosawa's masterpiece "The Abdomen". Unexpectedly, the online resources were scarce. I accidentally opened the wrong webpage, so I didn't miss this movie. Movie. Wearing a coarse cloth, sparse short stubble, frowning brows, and sword-like eyes, the samurai Tsumo Hanshiro walked into Ii’s house with monotonous steps, claiming to be a samurai, living in a difficult life, and believing that this is a violation The samurai spirit was unbearable, and he asked to borrow the entrance of the Ii family for self-decision. This was the usual trick of the samurai at that time, phoning his belly in exchange for a meager reward. The old man thought that this samurai was the same, so he told him a story that happened not long ago. A few days ago, a samurai named Qianqianyan Qiunu came here and claimed to cut his belly and commit suicide. The family wanted to reward him with some money, but unexpectedly discovered that Qiunu's samurai sword turned out to be a bamboo sword! Of course, such a knife can't cut the abdomen. Obviously, the girl is here to swindle money. The elder in a rage agreed that the samurai in the family forced the girl to commit suicide. The begging woman had to agree to abdomen, but when the matter came, she found that the ribs provided by the elders were actually the bamboo knives she carried. In the persecution of many samurai, the girl used a bamboo knife to cut her abdomen and committed suicide. The old man thought that this could shock Banshiro, who knows that Hanshiro also told the old man a story. He has a daughter named Meihui who married a samurai named Qianqianyan begging for a daughter... When Banshiro said that he was about to cut his belly, the movie fell into a tense atmosphere that made people unable to breathe; I even forgot to breathe when I asked the woman to cut herself with a bamboo knife. The hoarse cry of the girl makes me want to turn off the computer, but I am eager to know where his future lies... If this movie is not a remake of "Cutting the Abdomen" but the director's original, it will definitely get a higher evaluation. . As early as 1962, "Cutting the Abdomen" has been held on the throne, and its status cannot be shaken. People are constantly comparing it. The mainstream view is: This is a good movie, but it is not as good as the original. In fact, just look at the many versions of "Journey to the West" to know how difficult it is to remake. This movie remake is a masterpiece, with more praise from the audience and less criticism, which at least proves that "Yi Ming" is a success. The audience's criticism of "Yi Ming" mainly focused on two points. First, the role of the old man in "Cutting the Abdomen" is a downright villain, completely standing on the opposite side of Banshiro and Qiu. In his life, he appears more tender, portrayed as a kind lame, especially when he is begging. The woman groaned actively for her fault. Second, the final ending of "Slicing Abdomen" is that Hanshiro was shot with a musket after killing several samurai, and the three samurai who were punished by Hanshiro were safe, but their hair buns were thrown into the trash; Otherwise, Banshiro used a bamboo sword to injure several samurai but failed to kill one. After finally destroying the "Red Armor" of the Ii family, he was hacked to death with a knife, and the three samurai in the opposite role were all ashamed of themselves. But I think there is no difference between the two treatments. "Cutting the Belly" was created in the middle of the last century, when the social system had undergone great changes. It was in this current situation that Master Kurosawa deeply reflected on the harm of the old system and the destruction of human nature. In the movie, it is obvious that he divided the nobility, the samurai, and the common people into three sharply opposed classes. He unreservedly expressed his abandonment of the so-called Bushido spirit-the three samurai were cut off by Hanshiro. This kind of humiliation should have been washed away by self-decision, but in the end, the bun was swept into the garbage. The so-called Bushido spirit is so worthless, but they use this spirit as an excuse to force women to cut their belly. At the end of the gunshot, the samurai and their bushido were buried in the dust of history. "Ichimei" was released in 2010. Director Sanbo's views on samurai and Bushido can be summed up by the term "love and hate". On the one hand, he inherited the views in "Cutting the Abdomen", on the other hand he expressed his helplessness towards traditional culture. Just like the words of the old family in the movie: "As a warrior, we have exhausted the etiquette." This kind of ambivalence that whether traditional culture should be inherited or negative is also common in our country-Hanfu, Chinese medicine, traditional etiquette, and more The recent uproar of female chastity, and even Chinese garden dogs-these are things that were previously rejected by our inferiority complex when we were invaded, but now as long as we discuss them, they can immediately cause a scolding war on the Internet. "Yi Ming"'s attitude towards traditional culture resonated strongly with me. In "Ichimei", Hanshiro died fighting as a samurai. The three samurai finally decided to defend the dignity of Bushido. However, in the end, the film ended with the phrase "The Chika has been repaired", as if telling us all this. There is no way to change, the old society is still rotten, and the efforts of the samurai are just in vain. "Cutting the Abdomen" is "Don Quixote", and "Yi Ming" is "The Deer and Ding Ji". Time is passing by, people of different eras have different opinions, but no matter what they are, the swords of the samurai are dreamy, and only in movies can they make a sound.
