Good idea, surprisingly bad script

It was really amazing at first sight. There are a lot of first-person shots, and the rhythm of the interspersed narration is just right. The middle position makes people imagine that this will be a masterpiece. However, the more the story goes later, the less rounded it gets. The next few dozen minutes of plot can be said to be completely random, completely ruining the film.
I can clearly feel the screenwriter’s game brain. The director is also doing well in this regard, but the story is quite bad. It's really a pity that good ideas are wasted. Although you can afford to waste it is your business.

It is said that in order to solve the energy crisis, the large company ALTERPLEX created a mirror universe and imported the energy of the mirror universe into the ontology universe. However, due to the conservation of energy (they are all giant scientists, how come this kind of junior high school student problem did not occur), in order to make up for the loss, the mirror universe constantly inhales the matter from the original universe. Such a state of mutual inhalation is definitely unstable and will eventually lead to the complete destruction of the two universes. So the company of Primordial Universe dispatched the hero Will to the Mirror Universe to perform a task similar to "Final Insurance", which involves inserting a key (re-segmenter) into the giant tower used to exchange energy. Other details of the mission, Will doesn't know anything, only the purpose.
Will successfully came to the Mirror Universe and was dropped into the ALTERPLEX of the Mirror Universe, only to find that it had been attacked. The situation is completely wrong. First of all, ALTERPLEX of the Primitive Universe tells everyone that there is no organic matter in the Mirror Universe. But I didn't expect that this world has characters exactly the same as the original universe (but probably a mirror image structure), and even the relationship between the characters has not changed. Because of the inhalation of the primitive universe, it has become very unstable. Anti-company radical environmental protection organizations carry out various terrorist attacks, and the world's ALTERPLEX is also in a state of being integrated with a powerful government. It has absolute law enforcement powers in the isolation zone around the tower, and drones can shoot and kill any intruder.
In the quarantine area, Will met former colleagues Abby and Michael in the Mirror Universe. Abby still works for ALTERPLEX, and Michael has betrayed the company and joined the camp of environmental protection organizations. At the same time, both camps were hostile to Will. With the help of these two people, Will gradually approached the energy tower. At the same time Will knew that he was dead in the mirror universe, and his beloved sister and nephew had also died.
Abby found the key that Will was carrying, understood Will's purpose, and explained the truth to Will. Once the key is inserted into the mechanism in the energy tower, the mirror universe will be completely destroyed. In order to prevent Will from destroying his own world, Abby quietly contacted ALTERPLEX and captured Will.
The company boss asked Will to return to the original universe, insert the key into the energy tower of the original universe, and destroy the original universe in exchange for the survival of the mirror universe. And Will and Michael work together to escape. Finally, under the cover of Michael's death, Will destroys the mirror universe.

The story looks quite exciting, but the details can't stand up to scrutiny. In fact, the ALTERPLEX of the original universe tricked Will into entering the mirror universe to perform a mortal mission (the success of the mission will end Will and the mirror universe). Once in the Mirror Universe, Will must complete the mission even if he finds himself cheated to die. Because the mission is not completed, both worlds will be destroyed. My beloved family is tantamount to being used as a bargaining chip for threats. So far it makes sense. But the ALTERPLEX on the mirror universe is very mentally retarded. The boss didn't threaten Will at all to destroy the capital of the primitive universe. What did he think? As long as Will performs the task, no matter which world he destroys, he will definitely die; if he does not perform the task, if two worlds are destroyed at the same time, he will still die. In other words, destroying the mirror universe can at least guarantee the survival of family members in the primitive universe. And in the mirror universe, his family is dead, and for Will, which one to choose is not a question of entanglement at all.
So it's obvious that the screenwriter is completely out of mind here. If you really want Will to entangle, then at least the family in the mirror universe must be alive and live happily. You have let them die in the mirror universe, so there is no need to set up the story of the boss trying to convince Will. And the boss's bargaining chip in the mirror universe turned out to be: you go back to the original universe to destroy the original universe, at least you can watch your beloved family die. Male lead:? ? ?

In addition, the details of the worldview setting are equally unclear. For example, did the original universe know that organic life forms were also copied in the mirror universe, or even the entire human society was copied? Is the point that there are no organics in the mirror universe a deception or an unexpected accident?
And, given that the same human society has been completely replicated in the mirror universe, what is the position of ALTERPLEX in the mirror universe? Are you also committed to extracting energy from another mirror universe (or primitive universe)? Judging from the performance of the film, it is hard to understand what ALTERPLEX is doing here. Not only is it the victim, but it was attacked by extreme environmental protection organizations before the original universe. But the social status of the mirror universe ALTERPLEX is subtly higher than that of the original universe. It feels like the timeline of the mirrored universe is later than the original universe, but since it is completely copied from the original universe, how did this happen?
Why did ALTERPLEX in the mirror universe attack with Abby? The reason provided by the film is totally unreasonable; and Michael in the mirror universe knew the existence of the original universe a long time ago and was not shocked. Even after knowing that the world in which Will completed the task was about to be destroyed, he still sacrificed his life to help Will without hesitation. It's all because of love?

This is not to mention the fact that the individual weaponry has existed since the middle of the film. In the end, the protagonist relied on a vehicle-mounted machine gun to fight 4 drones. Although it was said that it knocked down the command plane and invaded, causing the remaining drones to kill each other, it was also very ridiculous. Which weapons merchant would make such a stupid thing.

From the plot to the action scenes from the film to the back, you can clearly feel the rough design, I don't know if it is in a hurry. This is simply sorry for the relatively refined state of the first half. In the end, the whole film became a game of explosive guns, guns and guns (and at first glance, the plot is tall and can’t stand scrutiny. This feature is really too explosive guns, guns and guns), then I would like to ask this story to be made into a movie Where is the meaning?
