"Broadway Melody"

I am used to watching various tear-off dramas. In this movie, the sincere feelings of the two sisters are simply a clear stream. I won’t say that the story is more clichéd. It’s not so much about love, but sisterhood is more relevant. Sister, Uncle Jack said that she was born as an artist, rather than toil. For the sake of my sister's growth, career, and even emotional life, I was busy pushing away the people I liked in the end. This can't be described as generosity. Although the elder sister has a more impatient personality, she is more sensible and sees things more clearly. There is no fear and optimism who admire her. Sister, she is very well protected by her sister. She wants to protect her sister in her own way. She doesn't know her thoughts, Eddie's thoughts, her sister knows all about her thoughts. In addition, black and white are not very suitable for viewing, not as good as "Wings", but Broadway's singing and dancing, music is still relatively pleasing, at the time it was the highest level.

Good. This is a movie from nearly 100 years ago. The story and the overall rhythm of the movie are still much stronger than many domestic movies. Female 1's acting is also very good.

The Broadway Melody quotes

  • Hank Mahoney: [after a cat-fight with a chorus girl] Next time I'll give you a facial instead of a scalp treatment!

Chorus Girl: I'll fix you, ya little peanut!

  • Eddie Kearns: Hank, did you see Queenie? What's the matter Hank, aren't ya happy? Wasn't Queenie great? Aren't ya proud of her?

Hank Mahoney: Oh, of course, Eddie. I'm glad to see her make good. Oh, but, gee, we ain't never had to get by on our legs before.

Eddie Kearns: Oh, that don't mean nothin', Hank. Those guys are not going to pay ten bucks to look at your face; this is Broadway!

    Hank Mahoney: Yeah, "Broad's way!"
