Simeon Utopia

Contrary to a friend who only watched live-action movies, it seemed that the animations that moved me the most. For example, Avil and the Fictional World should be the movie that touched me the most this year.

At this time last year, I was so immersed in the fantasy about animal legions. For example, when the subway train came, the food of the animal army rushed out, fresh and vigorous. For another example, I have thought about several ways to die about myself. One of them is that when the animal army is at war with humans, I dedicated my body to the animal army for experimentation, and my body is full of tubes, which is ugly.

Later, I transitioned from pure enthusiasm to careful thinking. For example, the animal corps does not need to develop technology. Basically speaking, I hate technology deeply-technology turns everything into black and white, swallowing the colors of the world. This idea changed a bit after seeing the three bodies. Regarding anti-technology, Avril Lavigne and the fictional world present another possibility: people have imprisoned all scientists, artificially put an end to technological development, and there are no more airplanes, electricity, or oil. This seems to sound great. But as a result, people are cutting down forests and mining coal even more frantically, and there are only three oak trees left on the whole earth, displayed in the museum. There is haze everywhere, even worse than Beijing. You must wear a gas mask when you go out. Survival and expansion are the nature of every species. And intelligent human beings have added complicated desires to this nature. When technology is not enough to support desire, human beings can only ask for it repeatedly from the external environment. It is not technology that destroys the forest, it is human desire. Even if the development of science and technology is forced to stop, mankind will only make the earth worse. Some have misunderstood the technology and Chen Ken apologizes to it.

Simeon is not the protagonist of the story. She is a female lizard that was injected with an experimental potion hundreds of years ago. She became long-lived and gave birth to a big grunting lizard child with her male lizard husband who was also injected. Because there are too many children and they all look the same and have low IQs, they can only use serial numbers instead of names. Simeon can speak and is wise. As a beneficiary of technology, she and her husband both advocate technology. The difference is that her husband hates humans deeply. And Simeon has a gentle motherhood to everything. They have a corps of lizard children, dressed in impressive armor. Human beings living in the miasma of smoke would never imagine that there is a utopia in a certain corner of the world, where there are forests, lakes, blue sky and white clouds. There are many scientists. They are here to concentrate on studying science carefree, without becoming a political tool, simply enjoying the joy of discovering science. They live in harmony with the lizards, discussing whether to play Schumann or Verdi in the next song, and try to taste the lizard’s delicacy—canned cockroach sauce. They work diligently every day in this lovely utopia, willingly betraying their class, for the same goal-to realize Simeon's dream. Although I reject science and technology itself, I have always been full of admiration for science and technology talents. They are the simplest and the most persistent at the same time. They will never compromise with ideas that are contrary to them, and even husbands and wives will part ways because of a disagreement on a certain topic. In this regard, the scientific man is tougher than the literati.

Ximai did everything possible to hijack Avril Lavigne to come to her utopia and wanted the longevity potion she developed. Everyone guessed that there was an evil plan behind it. At the end of the film, when Simeon finally revealed her plan, I cried. She held her heart tenderly. She showed Avril Lavigne through her hundreds of years of hard work-a rocket entwined by vines. She wants to sprinkle the immortal potion on the plants and launch the rocket into space so that the plants can withstand all harsh environments, grow on the moon, Mars and other planets, and bring green life to the universe. Despite suffering from human malice, she still walked firmly on the road of reconciliation with humans, trying to soothe the world with her gentle motherhood.

In fact, it's pretty good to be an animal like Simeon.
