Obviously, the new Uruguayan director did a very good job in scene scheduling. Many scenes seem to be hard to tell that they were shot by one continuous shot.
However, the director chose the theme of horror movies that are difficult to play with new tricks. During the watching process, many classic horror movies flashed in my mind: "Death Video", "Ghost Record", and "Blair Witch". "Horror Hotline: Big Headed Baby" and so on, and this kind of claustrophobic theme seems to have gradually become a genre film. Therefore, I am convinced that the absence/appearance of "ghost" will not add to the film. The key is how to create an atmosphere.
The weird soundtrack of the film and the few scenes shot in the dark are the most creepy. The rest can be said to be not much new, but as a director's debut, it is still a bit attractive. Coupled with the "Director's Fortnight" shortlisted for the Cannes Film Festival, this is also an attractive gimmick.
