Watching this film always reminds me of Jia Zhangke’s good people in the Three Gorges, the same low-level people, who have survived so much pressure and exploitation, and still live silently and tenaciously. Should I admire the tenacious vitality of mankind, or sigh the world East to West, the cruel truth everywhere? I have visited a few old mansions of nobles. Their luxury and lavishness lasted for a hundred years and thousands of years. They are still enough to shock people today. The world is hell and paradise. The Buddha said that because of karma, he can only be silent (if there is a chance, he will be loud. Say) Pray, those who have extra energy, please help people more, even those who have more virtuousness and more energy, try to do it, better system, law, technology or something.
