A thin body beating a great heart

Half a semester has passed since I went to an elective course in college. I have watched 6 movies in total, including Nihon Kokaku Centenary (documentary), Rashomon, Tokyo Monogatari, Yugetsu Monogatari, Ichikawa Kun Monogatari (documentary) and Today Watch The finished Burmese harp.

They are all masterpieces, but I want to say that among these world-famous works, I finally met this movie that I like very much. That is the "Myanmar Harp". The most impressive thing about the Burmese harp is the beautiful and dreamy harp sound, because it is an orchestral instrument like the guzheng, so after watching the movie, I really want to learn it. Of course, the music inside plays a very important role throughout the movie. . I also appreciate the captain's appreciation of Mizushima and his deep friendship. If the captain hadn't given up on the search for Mizushima and his deep understanding of him, the audience would have been disappointed. What moved and shocked me most was Mizushima's decision, his anti-war beliefs, and finally converted to Buddhism, and decided to sacrifice himself to appease the suffering in the world. He escaped from his comrades in arms, lived alone, and kept his name incognito. This is what moved and liked this movie the most, because a once ordinary person chose an extraordinary path for his beliefs.

Yes, the recent deaths have resurfaced in my mind. A person living in the world is like a dream. When he dies, the world constructed by thought disappears. The matter and the universe don’t care about your leaving, your The corpse will be digested little by little by microorganisms. So how do you live is not like a last fight, enjoy and burn, anyway, in the end there is nothing more than nothing. And Mizushima chose to do what he wanted to do for the rest of his life for the sake of his soul and to appease sentient beings. The important thing is that, as an ordinary person, he can resist such tremendous hardships and dedicate himself.

When the captain read Mizushima's letter to his teammates on the boat, I shed tears. Maybe it's because I actually yearn for Mizushima's self-dedication in my heart, like that. . . Can't express it in pale words. The following is the content of the letter written by Mizushima:

"Captain, my teammates, it is difficult to express how much I miss you. My heart is full of questions. Why must the world endure this kind of suffering? Why is there such an unspeakable suffering? Days go by, and I begin to understand. In the end. I realize that human beings cannot find the answer. Our task is only to alleviate the suffering of the world. Have the courage to face torture, ruthless and irrational, and have no fear. Find examples of peace through our own power. I want to Go through any necessary pain and realize my unshakable ideal for

this ." This movie is really beautiful, and the great heart of Mizushima's thin body beating is very moving.

    Captain Inouye: But that tune?

British officer: You hear a certain way of playing - a few notes floating by the breeze, and it's enough to make you think a dead man is alive. You must be dreaming.

British officer: [to his adjutant] He must be dreaming!

  • Captain Inouye: The songs uplifted our spirits and sometimes our hearts.
