After watching "The Gate of Thieves", I admire the director very much. Although I don’t know who Choi Dongxun is, I should have never seen his play before, but through this play, we can know that his storytelling skills are first-rate and the action is (big) scenes. He is definitely a rare commercial film director. In the play, he added some memory clips to explain the grievances between the characters, but also added suspense to the story. Until the end, he didn't know the result. There was no lack of jokes in the process, which made everyone smile and nervous. Watching this movie is like participating in the United Nations General Assembly. There are English, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, and Cantonese speakers, but under the careful arrangement of the director, everyone has a role and can communicate naturally without hindrance, and the audience It will not feel like a mess. The only awkwardness is to arrange for some Koreans to act as Cantonese, and they are required to pretend to speak Cantonese. If this detail is done well, then the play will be perfect. If you are a fan of Korean stars, you should recognize the "Korean thieves" in the show. I am not, so I only recognize Jeon Ji Hyun and Lee Jung Jae. Today's Jeon Ji-hyun is no longer the "savage girlfriend" of the past. She is very "astounding" in the play.
What a person sees is always what he likes to see, or what he believes to see. In other words, he can never see the truth of the whole facts, but only a small part of the facts. This is a bit of inspiration after I watched this drama, and it has something to do with the plot. Watching this kind of pure commercial entertainment film, in fact, you don't need to use your brain too much. Enter in a relaxed mood, and you will leave with a satisfied smile.
