When I grew up, I knew that this was the work of British novelist Stevenson, named Treasure Island ("Treasure Island"). The lyrics in the book are: "Fifteen men on the dead man's chest……Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum! Drink and the devil had done for the rest……Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum !"
dead man's chest is the name of an island, which can be translated as "coffin island". The poem can be translated as "Fifteen people on Coffin Island... Hehehe, here is a bottle of rum! Drinking and waiting for the devil to come... Hehehe, here is a bottle of rum!" I
just watched a TV movie co-produced by Ireland and Britain. Treasure Island. The film lasted 3 hours, and I made a journey of memories. British teenager Jim Hawkins accidentally got the treasure map of Captain Flint, the pirate boss. He and his father's friend, Dr. Livesey, sought sponsorship from the wealthy squire, Squire Trelawney, to hunt overseas for treasure.
Flint's former men came upon hearing the news and got into the treasure hunting team. Among them, the one-legged pirate Long John Silver became the cook on the ship and got along with Jim day and night. Except for Captain Alexander Smollett, most of the crew are pirates.
When we arrived at Treasure Island, there was a battle between the two sides. Jim was very resourceful and brave, and protected the ship alone. Under the leadership of Captain Smollett, the treasure hunt team merged with the former pirate Ben Gunn who wandered on the island and got the treasure. Silvo broke with the pirate team.
In the original novel, Jim, the doctor, the squire, the captain, Garn and others return home with the treasure, while Silvo escapes on the way. In the movie, the squire becomes a greedy and vicious person. On the return journey, Jim unexpectedly threw all the treasure into the sea, and the squire died on the bottom of the sea in order to retrieve the treasure. The story mainly describes adventure and treasure hunting, praising the wit and bravery of the young Jim. Is it sensible to get the treasure after all the hardships and throw it away in the end? The film's adaptation of the squire is very clichéd. Is it true that the rich must be bad in order to set off the poor?
Silvo is an extremely vicious pirate leader. Although he has a kind side, he does too much evil after all, and his nature is difficult to completely change. The original treatment of him is reasonable. The film has changed his ending too much and is not easy to accept. In addition, the people who have lived on the island for many years are extremely lonely and desperately eager to return to human society, such as Robinson. In the film, Gan, who has been wandering on the island for three years, stays voluntarily, which is also incredible.
A wonderful story, an unforgettable memory.
