Last October, I went to Shanghai with Ben to watch the 25th Anniversary Exhibition of Pixar Animation. The small shop in front of the art museum, on both sides of the road leading to the exhibition hall, the tickets and the guide book are all Buzz Lightyear on the poster of this movie. As the first 3D digital animation feature film, Toy story is self-evident for Pixar and even the entire animation industry.
And this documentary tells how a group of people created Pixar, an animation kingdom that combines technology and dreams.
The Big Three of Pixar
[1] Ed Catmull
John Lasseter said that imagination inspires scientific progress, and science can better realize your imagination. Ed Catmull previously worked for Lucas's studio and was the creator of Pixar. It was him who gave Pixar such a sophisticated production team and technical support.
[2] John Lasseter
is a lucky man, because his dream can be used to make money. Someone in the film said that he is another Walt Disney. They have the same love, passion, imagination, creativity, and execution for the animation industry. Strength, unremitting efforts.
[3] Steve Jobs
was not known until his death not long ago that he helped Pixar with one hand, invested more than 10 million yuan, and still did not give up despite losing money every year for the first five years. Disney bought Pixar back for 7.4 billion and was responsible for distribution and marketing, so it can be seen that Jobs is a uniquely discerning businessman.
If Disney is using adult fairy tales to deceive the audience, then Pixar is using his amazing imagination, characters, scenes, and stories to make everyone believe that it is a real world. You will look back at your toy, maybe he was not in that position last night; you will want to see if the ants' actions are all deliberate; you will even take your wall·e for a stroll.
The reason why I like this documentary is because each of them has their own dreams, and they are willing to work hard to pursue the world of their dreams. What's happier is that they can make money with their dreams. That's what I wanna to do.
