The film about the project "Miracle" was originally a feature film by jr to commemorate the opening of the Kyushu Shinkansen. For me, this is the first time I have filmed a movie about trains. The producer has only one requirement, which is to aim the film at the train as much as possible. Of course, the film cannot only be shot on trains, so I put forward the idea of taking children as the theme, and the producer readily agreed. At the beginning of the story, I wanted to describe a boy living in the city who wanted to take the new Kyushu Shinkansen to Kagoshima to visit his mother. On the other hand, a girl living in Fukuoka wanted to take the first train from Fukuoka to Kagoshima. The Kyushu Shinkansen also embarked on a journey. I originally wanted to describe the innocence story between the two children, but after meeting the "Brothers Maeda", everything changed.
Regarding casting
, the "Maeda Brothers" from Osaka were actually very popular before filming and were often active in various TV shows. However, I didn’t pay much attention to them before. Until the movie began to recruit protagonists, I was shocked by their abilities. What surprised me was not their acting ability. I met them and in my heart. The whole movie’s worldview and narrative style were immediately determined. It can be said that the "Maeda Brothers" had a great influence on the production plan of "Miracle".
In addition, the actors who played adults this time are all well-known people. At first, I was worried about whether they would accept the role of supporting roles. However, Ms. Shu Xilin gave me confidence and kept encouraging me to say, "This is a movie that belongs to In children’s movies, we actors are only supporting roles. We all understand this. You can rest assured to shoot.” Seriously, I really felt very happy at the time.
About "children"
Although I did not obviously feel the changes in my own existence, the people around me have changed a lot since I became a father (laughs). When I was filming "Nobody Knows", I just thought of " "Whose child is this", I have never considered other things, but it is different now. With the passing of my parents and the birth of my own child, many ideas have changed. This may be the reason why I have reached this age. In short, the children in "Miracle" must be very different from the children in "Nobody Knows" this time. Let's wait and see.

this is the first time I have worked with a TV station to make a film. When I debuted, I always aspired to become an independent filmmaker, but as time goes by, I feel that I can’t be so closed, especially this time. A movie about trains and a documentary about trains will definitely be of great help to my filming work. In the past, Mr. Yodogawa Nagaharu criticized Rossellini and Godard, saying that even if they love movies anymore, their closed thoughts will definitely cause harm to the movie itself. About borrowing
It is true that I have seen a lot of old Japanese movies when I was shooting "The Pace". Because of his particularity, I did not use Mr. Ozu's work. However, in Mr. Naruse's work, I have carefully studied the shooting of "home" and the control of the movement of characters in the movie space. Therefore, my maiden work "Phantom Light" was shot completely in accordance with Mr. Naruse's ideas. However, when I showed it to Mr. Hou Xiaoxian at the time, he said: Your film technology is quite good, but have you determined all the filming scripts before shooting? Why don’t you observe every action on the shooting scene carefully? Make a decision? This sentence was a great excitement for me who had just debuted at the time.
