At first I looked at it as a calcium film, but the plot of calcium was not at all. Instead, I was attracted and admired by the film's photography, physical body, and action metaphors. So much so that aroused the desire to go to Djibouti where the film was shot. The protagonist is the male lead actor in "Lovers in Shimbashi". But there are many beautiful men in it. Their movements in daily training are mixed with many metaphorical elements of dance. Plus the desert and ocean scenery. A rare film.

❤ Movies are the charm of sight and sound, and the charm of images has surpassed the story and shines. I don't care if the emotion is out of balance or just unrequited love, Clairdney's shots are always calm, like Bresson's solemnity, and the narration is the only way to tell. Military life is like the skeleton of the image that binds the film together. The specific image space of the bar is the only way to pour out desire in the film, and Denilawang's solo dance at the end of the film pours out this loneliness and longing for the audience.
