Two sides of faith-"Requiem"

I always think that people without faith are sad. When we feel miserable, how much we need someone, a kind of strength, even if it is illusory, let us get a little comfort.
From this perspective, Christians, Muslims, etc., are happy.
My grandma is also happy. She believes in Bodhisattva. Bodhisattva can bless her children and grandchildren to be safe. She is a vegetarian at the annual Guanyin birthday, and she often goes to the temple when she is young, helping with things and chanting sutras.
And I have nothing. I was educated to be a semi-Marxist (fortunately this is an era of still free speech). I doubt many things, and think I will not see the day when communism is realized.
The only thing that can be said is some vague and mysterious concepts.
I believe many people are like this.

So, what about people of faith? Many people criticize the Chinese people's golden mean, but there are still merits. For example, when it comes to faith, we believe in the sacred omnipotent, but we have to believe in ourselves. We have faith, but we cannot lose ourselves.

The girl Michelle in "Requiem" is a victim of faith. She was born in a serious Catholic family. Daily prayers before meals and annual pilgrimages are all indispensable. She was suffering from epilepsy, but she died under the guidance of the priest.
In fact, Michelle didn't succumb to her "devil inside" from the beginning. She has her own thoughts, but struggles painfully under the shroud of God. After she took a leave of absence, she worked hard to apply to return to school, and returned to campus with the help of her father. Despite some setbacks, he finally had his first good friend and someone who liked him. Friendship and love are here. Dancing, reading, shopping, pleasing boyfriend. Everything that a young girl should have and should enjoy, she tries hard to get closer and do it hard. Although my mother still opposed, but at least no longer restrict her. Michelle's life seemed to have improved.
She is still a little different. She must be very painful when she fell ill. It is a rare effort and a struggle for an abnormal person to try his best to be normal. I hope everything gets better. Just like Michelle and her boyfriend's kiss on the balcony, sweet and warm.
Faith made her turn to Father A for help. Father A introduced another priest B to her. This saintly priest B is an out-and-out religious fanatic. He murmured, the love of Jesus Christ, the love of Jesus Christ. Like a spell, it gradually overwhelmed Michelle's life.
Her good friend Hanna persuaded her to continue treatment. Although she had been treated countless times before that, she almost lost confidence in herself. But as long as we are alive, we shouldn't give up hope for life, right? Therefore, whether it is for science or theology, Michelle is working hard.
Years of illness can make people confused. It is normal for Michelle to have such a problem. Hannah kept asking Michelle to insist on treatment, and Michelle did the same. However, if God does not let you go, how can you live with peace of mind? It's ironic.
Father B is like every devil. He said that science is useless. In fact, Michelle was looking for the priest, just to vent her inner pain, hoping someone would understand. That's it. But Father B said to him that sometimes I think that using science to explain things is actually not clear. What is the use of science when a person really needs it?
How ridiculous. It is not that I cancel the faith, but the priest's ignorance and obsession. Faith is good, but if everything depends on faith, do you think that what is in our minds can save us from danger?
Michelle didn't believe in the priest at first, and would take medicine when her illness broke out. But her paranoia also began to arise. For example, she must complete the report during the holidays because she believes that the devil is driving her. She is struggling and contradictory. On the one hand, she believes in science, on the other hand, she believes in some magical powers. Because she is a 20th century college student, but also a Christian.
Michelle refused to go to the hospital. She thinks that no one can save her. This is great helplessness and helplessness. She was happy only when she was with her boyfriend, Hannah, and her father and sister, and even when she saw her mother. We have reason to believe that with the continued care and care of family and friends, Michelle can survive. Sometimes life is not as bad as we think. It all depends on your own attitude.
But people are not alone. The seriousness of the Germans was vividly demonstrated at this time. When the parents watched Michelle refuse to be treated, they called for priests A and B.
The tragedy begins here.
Exorcism. What an old word. If all this happened in the Middle Ages, we would not say anything, after all, it was a relatively ignorant era. But this happened in the 1940s, and it must be said to be a tragedy.
If people around you say you are sick, they say you are evil. Over time, you yourself will really think that you are sick and evil. This is a psychological hint of success proved by scientific experiments. Michelle was actually a bit mentally confused because of a long-term physical illness, but was regarded by the priest as a real devil. Father B shouted at the crazy Michelle, come out, out of her body! Michelle also shouted loudly, no! No!
All this is thrilling.
After exorcism again and again, the weak Michelle finally died.
The only person in the film who is truly sober is Michelle's friend Hannah. After she found out that Michelle was sick, she asked her to go to the hospital for treatment; she found that Michelle had a mental problem and asked Michelle's boyfriend to send her to a mental hospital; she came to Michelle's house to take her away. But only she was sober, how could she rival Michelle's religious family, weak boyfriend, and stubborn priest?

The whole film was shot indoors or on a cloudy day. Without warm sunlight and bright colors, everything is gray and hopeless. The vast expanses of fields could not reassure Michelle, and the omnipotent God could not save her. At the end of the film, Michelle roared like a demon, like a devil.
If faith has penetrated into all our lives, controlling our thoughts, and leading us on the wrong path, then I would rather not have faith. At least, I can believe in myself. And excessive belief is the loss of self.

In fact, the tone of this film is the type I like very much, quiet, gloomy and hopeless. When you gradually feel Michelle's struggle and pain, you may think about faith seriously.
(I wrote it in a hurry, I will read it)
