Warm pain

Bosnia is blood-stained soil, the land of ancestors.
Bosnia is love, the flower in my hair, and the land of my dreams

-from the movie "Gerbavica"

Esma looked at the black hole at the muzzle, after silence She tore her daughter like a furious lioness, she couldn't bear it anymore, and told the truth: Sara was the child who was raped after she was captured by the Serbs in a concentration camp.

Over the years, Esma has endured the pain of war while keeping the secret of her daughter's life experience and raising Sara alone. The only thing that can give her comfort is the psychotherapy recovery class for the victimized women. In the recovery class of psychotherapy, Esma told about the unbearable experience of the concentration camp, and all the sisters cried together.

Back home, Sara, who was once wayward, became well-behaved and began to consider her mother. One day, Sarah shaved her hair in the mirror, and said goodbye to the legend of "martyr dad". Sarah grew up overnight.

On the day of the outing, Esma sent Sara to school and watched her daughter board the bus. The moment she got in the car, Sara looked back at her mother, her eyes full of respect and love.

Along the way, the children sang happy songs: Our Bosnia...beautiful Sarajevo...

---------------------------- -------------------------------The
first time I heard the name "Gerbavicsa" was with a reporter in front of Berlin In my connection, the quality of international long distance is not very good. The other party said it several times before I wrote down these four words. At that time, I felt that the name was awkward and could not prompt any information about the film.

That year, "Gbavicza" won the Golden Bear Award at the Berlin Film Festival. The Chinese film that entered Berlin that year was "Promise" which was concocted with 360 million yuan.

Like the name of the film, the name of director Yasmila Zibanic, I also read it several times before writing it down. At that time, although the domestic media also reported the news that "Gbavicza" won the award, no one mentioned the content and theme of the film, only that it was a female-themed film.

It has been two full years since I saw this movie.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a familiar and unfamiliar country. What is familiar is that in the early nineties, you can hear about this country from the news almost every day. What is strange is that apart from wars and massacres, Chinese people lack the most basic understanding of this country.

After the 1995 Dayton Agreement, this country disappeared from the news without a trace.

For me, the first thing the film taught me was the daily life of Bosniacs. In this country, there are crazy bars and ball jams, as well as magnificent mosques and hijabs. The people there live hard, but they are exquisite and dignified.

But what touches my heart most is the love of mother and daughter in the film. It is the love and the power of human care reflected in the film that transcends national boundaries and different cultures, wins widespread resonance in Europe, and finally wins the golden bear.

"Martyr Father" is a kind and cruel lie. Kindness is yes, it gives children too much sustenance and too much pride. The cruel thing is that the truth it conceals is the most heinous bestial act. In 1993, the European Community estimated that 20,000 Muslim women were systematically raped by the Serbian army during the war, while the Bosnian government’s figure was 50,000. Under this cruel number, how many beautiful lies are there? How many secrets are buried in the mother's heart? A woman of a nation will always be the biggest bearer of a nation's disaster.

The damage of war does not end when peace comes. The crimes committed will not be forgotten because the location of the mass graves is unknown. "Gbavica" is a memory of wounds and an indictment of crimes. In today's civilized era, in the hinterland of Europe, which claims to be a collection of civilized countries, human dignity has been trampled on in this way, and politicians in rich countries are still talking about human rights and democracy. This is the greatest mockery of human civilization in this era.

The suffering of a mother is the suffering of all people in this nation, so I hope that the Bosnian Muslims will never forget these. Those who survive should enjoy life, but the day when they forget the crime may be the moment when disaster comes again.

Sarajevo, my love; Gbavica, my pain!

Accidentally, I watched it very seriously, and I didn't get distracted the whole time. Maybe because the scenes are very domestic? Before watching the movie, I read the reading materials and knew the truth in advance, so I was waiting for someone to reveal the secret when I watched the movie, so I was lamenting the whole process of how the child is so ignorant... In addition, the little boyfriend is quite likable
