Everyone has commented on its visual effects, and I think it is quite good. Every time I see these well-made animations, I can't help but wonder: Will there really be a day when all real actors are unemployed, and the characters in the film are completely replaced by fake and real animations? I really think it is very possible! At least it is expected that there will be many animated "real" movies in the future.
As for the story itself, it is indeed very general. The fusion of machinery and human flesh and blood is well demonstrated in Ghost in the Shell, but the issues of body and soul discussed in Ghost in the Shell are not touched in this film. What this film talks about is that after the combination of micromachines and the human body, although a person gains immortality, there is actually only a person’s virtual shell due to bad guys. At the end of the film, I borrowed Maria’s words: human beings should continue their lives by passing on from generation to generation (to the effect). The director also expressed this meaning: extending the history of mankind by prolonging the life of an individual is actually not as good as continuing the human race by passing on from generation to generation such as life and death. In fact, having said that, if people can really live forever, perhaps human society will soon stop progressing, because we have endless time to squander and waste. Of course, this is just my guess.
