I don't agree with saying that its main thread is love. It promotes a kind of great love and a concept of peace. I hope that both Jews and Germans can join hands to live a good life and not hate each other. With a pure mind, you will walk smoothly on the lake as stated in the Bible.
But Eyal went to Berlin again to find Axel's purpose. . . I still feel very suddenly, although knowing that he wants to get more about his grandfather, it is best to find his grandfather and kill him, but didn't he say that his mission was completed? He told his boss that he would quit and do other tasks. (Is it a shame, because I like Axel? But as a pseudo-tour guide, he does care too much about XD)
Finally he went and had a chance to see his grandpa, but when he faced him lying on the bed When the half-dead old Nazi man was unable to do anything. . . I think this part of the description is not detailed enough, but when he turned around and saw Axel standing there. . . . . This part is wonderful, there is no panic and avoidance, it seems that he already knew he was standing there. . . They didn't speak, Eyal bypassed Axel and returned to his room. . . . Axel turned off the instrument that maintained his grandfather's life and quietly returned to Eyal, listening to Eyal's account of his ex-wife. . . I just think that Axel's last line of defense is broken at this time. He said that he had no tears in his tear ducts, so he never cried, but he did cry. He hugged Axel and was heartbroken. . . . . His heart has changed so that he can no longer be a cold assassin. Is this to imply us that the Jews put down their weapons of hating the Germans, and the Germans seriously regret their sins, let them love each other, let them hug each other, and they can live together peacefully...
Two years later, Naoto Eyal (actually I think he should be Bi, because he is not interested in Axel XD from his performance) married Axel's sister and raised a baby boy. And he and Axel still keep in touch, and they are close. He said that he dreamed that they were walking on the lake successfully together. . . . . . . .
