What if you quit?

"Lust Caution" is directed by Indian-French director Bin Naren. After seven years of preparations, he went to the Himalayas mountainous area bordering India and Tibet for field shooting. Boldly and directly express mortal pursuit of spirit and desire, showing the struggle between destiny and human nature. Is it to satisfy a thousand desires in front of you, or to overcome a desire in your heart?

It tells that the monk Dashi couldn't let go of his happy desires and return to the vulgar, married and had children with his favorite woman, Pema, and lived a normal life. Later, there were new doubts in my heart, and I resolutely put on the robes, left his wife and children, and pursued Buddhism.

Although he has been practicing since he was five years old, he has never devoted himself to the Buddha and converted to the piety of Buddhism. Just always confused and thinking constantly. Question everything you want to believe in. Unlike the priest Ralph in "The Thorn Birds", he is not as passionate about religion as he does, and wants to use religion to climb the ladder of power.

I once watched a movie "Stolen Love from Heaven". A monk and a girl fell in love. After being exposed, she was ruthlessly separated, and the girl was forced to become a nun. When she learned that the monk had been cruelly circumcised, she said sadly and sadly that I had sex with you in my heart.
I thought there would be a similar tragedy in this story, but I didn't expect that their practice would be so humane.
After they watched the struggle of the desire to reach the world, Apu (I don't know what it means, anyway, they call that Taoist Lama) said: Give you a map and set off at dawn. It's time to make a decision.
He saw those Buddhist sex maps. At first glance, it is a picture of the love of men and women, and a little more angled under the light, it is a pair of skeletons. Is that the Buddha's interpretation of form as emptiness and emptiness as form?

He did not have the so-called awakening because of the skull after the love of the male and female. But more questioning the meaning of life.
Dashi, who had always been silent and gentle, approached Apu and said fiercely: He (Sakyamuni) was still living a secular life before he was 29 years old. But since I was 5 years old, I lived the life of asceticism after his escape. why? How do we know that his enlightenment was not directly caused by mundane life? Apu, after strictly observing the monk's precepts, where is the freedom promised to me? We are committed to abstinence, but where is the fulfillment promised to me? He once said that you should not hear from the ears and accept my teachings unless you understand my position. We must put aside our prejudices before we can really learn. There are some things we must have before we can give up.

Ap later said to her: Dashi, your dream of returning to the village is not a dream.
On the night in the village, Parma once came to him and gave him a moment of tenderness.
He finally left his place of practice in the middle of the night. Take off the robes and put on the clothes of a layman.
He wants to own it. You must have it before you know if you can really give up.

When Parma saw him working in ordinary clothes in the field, she was very surprised.
The distraught Parma put down the food and left. He chased after him.

——Parma, don't go.
——Don’t say it’s for me.
--No. I do it for myself.
--Why? If I am wrong, I am sorry.
——Parma, please.
——Or I did something wrong, but everything I did was just to comfort you for a while. See you now.
——Are you sure it’s just a moment of solace? If so, I will leave before sunset.
She came to him before sunset.

This is definitely not a so-called shocking love story.
What Parma loves is Dash. Dashi just satisfies his desires through Parma. Of course, he also loves her.
But it can also be any woman who can release his desires.
He just wants to recognize through them where the freedom and satisfaction promised to him is.
In fact, when a person loves a person, it is only through that person that he constantly knows himself and releases his desires and love. But it can also be said that the one who loves is that person, because it happens to be that person and not the other one.

When he found out that he was tempted by the hired girl, he wanted Pa Ma to quit the worker.
Pa Ma ignored him. Instead, he took off a branch and threw it in the stream to ask a group of children questions.
——Tell me, what will happen to this branch?
——It will sink.
——What if not?
——It will be tripped by a stone.
——What if you don’t get tripped by a stone?
——It will stay in the water and rot.
-It will be trapped in the vortex. Or fall into the waterfall and break.
——If not. What will happen?
Later, the children who were chasing the branches along the stream became tired and sat on the ground.
——Give up? The answer is simple, the branches will flow into the sea.

Later, he finally had a love affair with the female worker. But it didn't feel amused, but then fell into confusion.
At that moment, Apu died. The letter to him said: I know that my karma is still unfinished. I will reincarnate again, and we will meet again. Or at that time, I will tell you what is more important. To satisfy a thousand desires, or to overcome one?

That night, when his wife and children were asleep, he left them, and once again embarked on the path of pursuing the Dharma.
At dawn, he put on a cassock and walked through the woods, thinking that he was suddenly enlightened, he saw Parma standing on the road.
She did not shed tears, did not beg, just looked at him, wanting to see thoroughly, and walked around him and said: Yeluntra, have you heard this name? Prince Sakyamuni, Gautama Siddhartha, Buddha, everyone also knows. Yelundhara, Yelundhara married Sakyamuni, and she loved him very much. One night, Sakyamuni left. She and her son Luhe, they were sleeping fast, and he went to seek enlightenment and become a Buddha. When he left, he said nothing. Yeluntra cared for the patients, and she treated them earlier than Sakyamuni. She predates Sakyamuni and understands the suffering of the people. Maybe, his consciousness was inspired by her. Maybe Yalundhara thought about leaving Sakyamuni and Luhe. How do we know that Yalundhara was not angry, lonely, or miserable after Sakyamuni left, who would think of her. When her son Lu He kept asking her the same question, where is the father? How does she answer. How can she tell him. How can a mother leave her son in the middle of the night? Only men can do it. Dash, only men can do it. After that, Yaluntra had no choice but to abandon her past life, cut her hair, and lead a life of asceticism. Dashi, if you yearn for the Dharma, as strong as your craving for me, you can become a Buddha, in this life, this body.
Parma is also questioning. She questioned the Dharma and human nature.

When Parma left, Dash saw the sentence on the stone: How to make a drop of water not dry up?
When he returned to the world after three years, three, three, and three days of retreat and practice, when he was carried back to the temple on horseback, what he saw was the sentence on the stone. He has been thinking about that problem all the time.
Dash turned over the stone, and it said: Let it flow into the sea.
In fact, this question has already been answered by Pa Ma when he asked the children what would happen to the branches. She did the same with Dash.
Today I asked him the same question, and he actually said: Let it flow into the sea.
Asked if he had read this sentence or said it himself, he disapproved and said that everyone knows to do that.
But what is the point of a drop of water flowing into the sea? Or it is more willing to moisturize which thirsty lips, become a tear in someone's eyes, or become water vapor and rise to the sky, turning into a cloud.
Since we want water droplets to flow into the sea, we must conform to nature. However, the precepts of some religions are so unnatural and contrary to the norm.

I don't know whether the sensation caused by the movie was because of Zhong Liti's passionate performance or the thinking about life in it.
Many shots of the movie I saw should have been cut. But I have already felt the beauty of desire. Perhaps the most free and most released time of life is at that moment. It makes people rush to ignore the skull after eros.
But I think the film is not in place. Dash has not escaped the confusion, but it is not very troubled. There are no major ups and downs in the plot of the film. Dash knows his choice even when he is confused, and does not hesitate to take action.
When he chooses, he only takes care of his own feelings and ignores the feelings of others. This kind of grace makes Tao not really help others. Because they are most concerned about themselves, they are always very strong individuals, and they won't really blend in with someone physically and mentally.

I don't believe in Buddhist love. They will not love the individual.
There is really no difference between love and not love. If you are half-hearted, you can't even figure out how to love others.
Real detachment, real compassion, does not stick to any form.
Hong Chen cannot be beaten, and if he really sees it through, he won't be a monk. At that time, the self can be spread everywhere.
When you can't control yourself, you need a form to restrain your behavior and mind with that form and precepts.

I don't know what I want to say. Watching this movie, I really feel that everything is nothing.
The believers strictly abide by the religious rules and practice, and want to escape from the sea of suffering, but they have been in the sea of suffering.
In the dunya, those who have fun in time often feel pain and emptiness, and the sea of suffering is boundless. Others demand themselves strictly and work hard, but they are often exhausted, hardly rewarded for their efforts, and feel deceived by life.
Where is the freedom and happiness promised to us. After the wish is gradually fulfilled, it will fall into another void. It's just a different form.
In actual life, is it remote to satisfy a thousand desires, or it is more important to overcome one desire.
However, if a person has no desire, what is the point of living in this world?
