a faded story.

the pictures come to a stop. the scene become whiter and whiter, whiter than white, then the screens turn black.

Max, a queer, a fluff, a rotten man, a man loves his life much more than others'. well ,he ought to, it is said,'Every man for himself, and the devil takes the hindmost. 'cruel but true. What's more, he has little choice in that tiny train compartment: sacrifice one ,or die together.

what he muttered over and over again is'i'm going to stay alive' or so, but eventually he suicide. it is the ironic point, but at the same time, the human nature, the love between men was fully performed.

through the long monotonous days of carrying fucking stones or snow here and there, there and here, a firm and inexpressibly tight link was formed between the two unfortunate men. it is hard for Max not to fall in love with a person spending hard times with him, winter or summer, cold or hot, making love through spiritual communication with him.
as for the endding, if a man endures that much sorrow, he may well not be able to live alone in the rest of his time, if he did , it is not called alive, but being a living dead in misery during every second of his life. maybe that's the reason why he suicide. well, or, just no reasons. lot alone the reason, why have reason? the mysterious emotions of human controlled the situation.

this is a story set in an extreme background full of war, slaughter, chaos, oppression, insult, nonsense, despair and so on, to see what will happen on one man's personality and spirit. Max escaped, betrayed, raped an angel, cried , regreted, lied, loved, bribed, traded his body, he is not so good a man, but we can still find shining points in him, as well as in the cold dark'streets of berlin', in the desperate time, in the twisted hearts of human beings.

However, the fate of story is the same: fade away in the endless time river, what left are less than a few scraps.

forgive me poooooooooooooooor eng.

end, the section of pretending to have a cold and be pierced and then dead. In fact, Max should continue to pretend to have a cold. He forgot.
He should have pretended to have a cold when the officer asked him "your cold!" Unfortunately, the screenwriter and director did not agree. Humph. What tattered death method.
