Watching this film is a bit like watching Bergman's movie. All involve tragedies in intimate relationships. Pessimistic argument. At first, I didn't like the heavy drama of the film. In particular, the actors did not speak to each other, but each spoke in the direction of the camera, which was extremely inconsistent with the reality principle of the movie scene. But the theme and text of this film are powerful. The story of a woman and four men. Four men, a first love, a partner in marriage, an extramarital lover, and finally, the heroine who has escaped the marriage prison and chose to live alone in seclusion. The plot mainly revolves around the topic and relationship between the heroine and her husband when they want to divorce. This is a film with a typical feminist perspective. Women want love, they want love as the air, but they always fail. After getting her love, men always turn their attention elsewhere. The so-called career or work is actually to pursue the realization of personal ambitions and "conquer the world." The ideal of a woman who wants to live in love has to come to nothing. I originally expected that the lover I met would be true love. When I came out of the marriage, I found that my lover was just a slutty boy, and he was the worst of the three men. Can a woman's happiness count on love and marriage? The answer is NO. After sober, the heroine seems to have chosen a path of self-destruction, leaving her husband in a high position in officialdom, saying goodbye to her unreliable lover, and rejecting her first love who has become a celebrity but still misses her. The olive branch that came out, resolutely chose to stay away and choose to live alone. Although it looks lonely and cold, but has gained the freedom of the soul. "Enjoy the happiness of the flesh, and endure the eternal loneliness of the soul." This is a waking saying made by the director through the mouth of the heroine. As a film in the first half of the 1960s, it carries a revolutionary, feminist perspective.
