For me, the biggest charm of Pokémon is randomness.
When I was a kid, the price of Pokémon dolls was 50 cents apiece, but what the store would buy was random, so I got a partner who had been with me for more than ten years among the few choices. Later, the pirated gems and precious diamonds were compressed compact discs that we borrowed home from each other between our children. When we caught the favorite Pokémon, we put on the learning device and used it to pass the level. Although mythical beasts have a special attraction to children, I don't want to check the guide to catch them. Instead, I enjoy the surprise moment of encountering mythical beasts in a cave by chance. I can’t remember the ability to test each skill, and I will never give up the possibility of becoming a partner for the race value, or easily abandon it and find the next partner for the individual value... Pokémon has a world championship, but I understand it. Competitiveness does not mean that you understand Pokémon. There are many competitions in the world, but Pokémon has only one. Just as there are many Pokémon theatrical versions of monster fights in the world, there is only one "it's you!" that returns to the essence.
What if Zhi Ye doesn't choose Pikachu? What if you change another option in life? It is meaningless to ask questions like this. The important thing is that the random combination of super real newcomer + yellow mouse has created the world's number one IP, and the random combination on the journey of life has created a very different and wonderful life for us.
Courageous, unrelenting decisions and persistence have finally become our eternal ideals and romances.
