An accidental letter opened an unknown story, thanks to the keen observation of reporter Emily.
In the switching back and forth between the two time and space, the story of fifty years ago is unfolding in front of us little by little.
The story is very clear. Jane, who looks close to her husband, meets the reporter Boot, and the two have developed a love affair in each contact. Boot is going to New York and wants Jane to put down his current life and elope with him, but Jane refuses him. When I got home, I changed my mind and hurried to the station to meet Boot, but couldn’t get a car. I asked Boot’s friend to drive her in a hurry. As a result, he was in a car accident on the road. Things amnesia. When she came home from the hospital, her husband cheated her on Boot and died, so Jane was guilty of her husband's life, and gave birth to a daughter two years later. At the moment when he ran into Boot on the street four years later, Jane remembered all the past, they seemed to have never lost each other and hugged together. Boot still wants her to leave her husband and take her daughter to fly away with him, but Jane says she can't do that for her daughter, so she refuses Boot again. She understood that her husband had deceived her and said that Boot had died. She went home and had a showdown with her husband, who threatened her not to divorce. At this moment, she regretted that she had rejected Boot again, so she sneaked away to find Boot with her daughter, but Boot had left her residence and quit her job and disappeared. After that, Jane kept looking for Boot's name in the newspapers, but never found it, and then gave up. It wasn't until Emily came to the door that the story half a century ago was seen again.
Fortunately, in Emily's investigation, I learned the true feelings of the two people. After half a century of transnationalism, the two people in love finally hugged each other in the park where they dated for the first time. And Emily also understands her feelings for the librarian in the investigation story.

Jane's two face-to-face rejections and later repentance made the reunion half a century late.
The film’s presentation of London in the 1960s and 1970s is very worth seeing. The foggy sky, the patter of rain, and Jane’s clothes look very delicate.
