Corruption is your noble sentiment, so I choose to fall

The film is quite shocking from the beginning: the arrogance in the ruins, all those glamorous, sensual, gorgeous, and incest scenes explain the protagonist Max's previous life state.
Total sex and lovelessness have been running through Max's life, pulling people who can enjoy a moment of joy with him to his so-called residence. Was it all deliberately let Max’s lover comrade Rudy see it?
The answer is no, because he didn't realize what love was at that time, and he didn't care how Rudy felt. Despite Rudy's frustration and final vengeance in a weak way, Max still continues his lewd life.
All the tranquility was broken because the Gestapo entered the ruins and the blatant fascist police assassinated Max's friend of sex.
The running of the two, the impulse of the two to survive, the dispute between the two, the hiding of the two, the warmth of the two, the running of the two again. Not as lucky as the first time this time, the two were arrested.
Max's desire for survival defeated his lust, perhaps Max had never loved before. He betrayed Rudy and watched him die. Maybe he didn't do anything on the surface, but in fact he did betray Rudy from the heart.
During the betrayal, I ran into the one he would never forget but only touched the only person he loved once-Horst. The running-in between the two continued from the train to the barren life in the concentration camp. In order not to reveal his homosexuality, Max has been keeping a distance from Horst, but love sprouts.
I like the part where they dictated sex the most. It reminds me of the phone sex scene in "American Pie II".
But in the end Max found out that he was in love with Horst, and he was willing to go for him and get medicine to treat him.
At the end of the film, Horst was still discovered by the fascist officer that he was actually sick, and the medicine he paid for sex was finally given to him, and Horst will undoubtedly die. Max finally realized love and died in love.

How should I put it, the director is still a little bit procrastinated in narrative, and the previous insignificant presentation is a bit fragmented. As for the background performance, I think it can be more atmospheric, and I don't like to use small shots and lengthy narratives.
I always feel that the long-span narrative of Brokeback Mountain is expressive enough.

Regarding the title
corruption is your noble sentiment, so I chose to fall
not willing to corrupt this noble sentiment, so I chose to fall, and the fall is still falling, but it has become worthy of praise.
