Animation not suitable for adults

After reading it, my true feeling in my heart is: this 1.5h is not worth it. I have never been interested in this kind of superhero movies, nor have I seen other superman-themed movies. As far as this movie is concerned, I bluntly dislike it. The setting seems to be very complicated: superpowers, Krypton, Mars, xenophobia. I thought it would be a story like this: How did Krypton die? How to resolve the contradiction between aliens and humans? How was Superman accepted by everyone? Well, the development of the plot turned out to be unexpected. I can't figure out what the climax of the story is: the villain suddenly becomes an ally? Parasitic demons chose to sacrifice themselves for others because of their emotions? It's really baffling. The image of female reporter Louis can be more full and three-dimensional, but in this film it appears thin and even rigid. In fact, whether it is Future Technology or the Planet Times, these two lines can be dig deep, alas, it's wasted. Maybe this is an animation for children? In short, I don't recommend watching movies for adults.

Superman: Man of Tomorrow quotes

  • Martian Manhunter: ...The last thing your mother ever said to you was: "to dwell in the past, is to lose one's path "

  • Superman: They meet someone from stars and their first instinct is to fire at will.

    Martha Kent: They love you.

Superman: They don't know me, and I am afraid that when they do...

Martha Kent: Maybe you are what they need. If they know about you maybe they will see things differently.

Jonathan Kent: Or maybe the government will lock him up, or worse.

Superman: At some point they are going to ask me "Where I am from and why I was sent here?" And I won't have the answers. And in the meantime, one way or the other Lois is going to publish her expose.

Jonathan Kent: You know what they are going to say, what we've always said: the world is dangerous and unforgiving. If you are different, special, you have two options: you can either...

Superman: Either meet it head-on and accept the consequences or you can keep you head down and accept the consequences. There is no wrong choice, but...

Martha Kent: But you have to make one.

    Superman: Why?

Jonathan Kent: Because you are not our little boy any more. Becoming a man means making these choices for yourself. Just be ready. Because each choice, each action, has consequences.
