Suspense film that is too life-like, the plot is not exciting enough

The plot is not compact enough, very life-like suspense film, in fact, it is easy to doze off. I tugged a few times. Halfway through, I guessed that the psychologist must have a problem. Because, the murderers of serial homicides generally have pathological obsessions. When the psychiatrist said he only fished for red trout, I had counted it.

Regarding the ending, I have two views: One is that the doctor and the professor may be accomplices. Second, it is possible that the doctor committed a crime alone, and the professor just made compensation to cooperate with the doctor in acting, but did not actually take part in the murder.

The ending is too fake, okay? The senior and veteran detective will be fooled by this? The detective does not bring an assistant to investigate the case, and acts alone? What is the picture? He can't trust his assistant? The detective needs to kill the criminal he thinks himself? Commit a crime in person? For what? Is the plot too little foreshadowing?

The whole film can obviously take up to 1.5 hours to complete, but it's a drag. It mentions a little bit about the complexity of human nature. Because the plot is not exciting enough, I will only give 5.5 points.
