Many movies talk about how love begins, and the story has a beginning and an end. Sam and Tasker have been partners for two decades, and Tasker was diagnosed with early-onset dementia. He is gradually forgetting things around him, losing his ability to write, and will forget his friends, Sam, and even himself in the future. So he planned a trip back to Sam's hometown and organized a concert for Sam (he is a pianist), the purpose is to get time alone and to create an alibi for Sam. He didn't want to have only one body left in the world, so he wanted to do the only thing he could control while he was still capable.
But his choice may be a permanent pain for Sam. Sam doesn't want to let go, he wants to take on his responsibilities as a partner. Although taking care of Tasker puts him under pressure, he thinks he is strong enough.
There are different forms of love. Love is persistence and letting go. In the end, the movie did not leave the viewer with an open ending, and some shots revealed the two people's choices.
I think love is romantic when it starts, but when it ends? Human life is not eternal, which necessarily means that even if the love between two people is not worn by the years, it will be taken away by the years at some point. Is it really? The name of the movie is "Supernova", and there is a dialogue between Tasker and Sam's niece, which is a piece of science.
There are many stars in the sky, some of them will become supernovae exploding after a certain period of time after death, scattering matter into the universe. Our body is made up of the matter of these stars. Maybe the left ear and right ear are from different stars.
Death does not mean the end, and may remain in the universe in other forms.
Not only lovers, but also family members, friends and other close relationships will have various ties, and there will eventually be a farewell day. To love someone, sometimes you can’t let go, and sometimes you have to let go.
