Everything here is chaotic, but everything in it is something that has appeared in everyone's consciousness. The road can lead directly to the sky, the earth can also be suspended in the air, and most people who enter the alien world can obtain some abilities through training.
The protagonist is an architect in the real world. After some training in another world, he discovered his own abilities. His ability is to create some buildings out of thin air, which can be used to block the scavengers at critical moments. But what the protagonist didn't expect was that all this was just a huge conspiracy in the real world. The leader raised a lot of funds through religious propaganda and volunteers to participate in his alien experiment. His purpose is to build a world under his control, and he has the final say in everything in another world. The protagonist has architectural talents, and the leader wants to use his talents to build a beautiful city in another world. He deceived the protagonist and his girlfriend to the hospital by deception, and forced them into a coma into another world, becoming fighters for him to use.
When the protagonist realizes all this, he naturally does not want to be at the mercy of others. He wanted to escape the control of the leader. After completing the task of helping the leader build the city, the two sides have a complete showdown. But the leader turned back, fearing that these informed people would tell the world in the real world of their true purpose. Therefore, he does not intend to release these people and order his men to end their statement in the show society. In a critical situation, a man who had been killed by the leader and turned into a scavenger saved the hero and heroine. The two were able to escape.
In the real world, the protagonist is an architect who accomplishes nothing. Many of his design works are too advanced in consciousness, so they cannot be recognized by the society. He closed himself in the room for a long time, thinking hard, and gradually became mentally ill. Most of the other people who entered the alien world were plagued by problems of one kind or another. The leader took advantage of this and controlled these people.
The storyline of this film is not complicated, but the suspenseful atmosphere it creates is very good. The strange things that the protagonist saw when he woke up from a dream in the beginning of the story really drew people's appetites. The fly in the ointment is that the design of the final villain in this film is too simple. Halfway through seeing it, you can guess that the villain is the leader. However, this film gives people a warning that we should pay more attention to these marginalized groups in society. Sometimes their worldview is just different from ours. This does not mean that these people are not capable of contributing to social change. When we ignore their feelings, when they are completely desperate, they are likely to turn to the opposite of society, and then it will be too late.
In the past, Shui seldom enjoyed Russian movies, and only watched a few such as "The Soldiers Under the City". This "Other World" showed me that the Russian people's pursuit of movies is not as simple as we imagined. Russian movies also have their own dreams. If we want to gain more recognition for Chinese films, we should also learn from this ambition of the Russians.
