No one is committed to evil, just as Eric struggles after an accidental murder and rescues others after a plane crash. However, irritating and unfair treatment can make those actions that others seem to be wrong become worthy of the crimes of others.
People's fear of the unknown and the desire to control have become the source of violence and injustice.
