Originally based on sincere friendship, but friendship based on class

Lao Ta’s debut short feature film, on the surface is a small interesting story of a year-end friendship, and in the deep, you can see his sharp master background-the core is really "class".

The key to opening the metaphorical door In the scene where the violin throws bread, the road roller said to a colleague: "He is not a working class, he is a musician." This expression of envy and flattery, for the violin, cuts out what he wants to do. The boundaries of friends, so he was talented to throw bread.

Regarding the class, the old tower also talked about several levels.

1 Cannot communicate between the same class.

The violin and the female violin, ate the apple but missed it without seeing a good sign; the road roller and the female road roller, frantically showing love but repeatedly being left out; workers and children bullied each other. The violin is separated from my mother in the mirror, so I can't understand it.

2 There is no breakthrough between different classes.

The title "The Violin and the Road Roller" is synonymous with the elite and the working class. It can be compared with Akira Kurosawa's "Heaven and Hell". Therefore, it can be seen that one of the characteristics of the master is the grand pattern.

The second feature of the master is a distinctive and readable audiovisual presentation.

"Mirror" and "Reflection in the water" appeared for the first time in this film and became the symbol of the "Poetry Movie" of the old tower in the future.

The violin and the road roller have talked many times, and they are all presented as reflections in the water, indicating that the two are not in the same world and class.

When playing in the broken house, the female road roller hits the water with a stone, trying to break the illusion of the two trying to break through the class, but the two continue.

Look at the beginning again, a group of working-class children bullied the violin and the road roller came out to rescue it. This is also a vague metaphor of class struggle. The old tower said: even if the lower class as a child temporarily prevailed, it was dispelled by the lower class. After all, the future cannot escape the fate of working hard to build cities and fight on the front lines under the hands of the higher class.

In the end, the violin went downstairs and finally crossed the water in the square and boarded the road roller again, but this could only be an illusion that appeared in the movie. Woohoo, class!

I have to sigh that some people didn't become masters after they shot them, but they were masters.
