Childhood memories, movies my age

I first watched this movie in "Zhengda Theater" in 199X. At that time, I was in the third or fourth grade of elementary school. I have been studying in the computer class in the Children's Palace for some time. This movie left a deep impression on me at that time. That computer, I was surprised that it looked so similar to the "Apple" in the microcomputer class, and it turned out to be so magical...
After many years, I finally found this movie and watched it again. It feels very different, what's the difference? Because I think it’s ridiculous now. At that time, I was absolutely enthusiastic about the magical computer in the film. It looks so similar to the computer in the Children’s Palace, but the computer in the Children’s Palace is not as cute as the one in the film. , But I am still very passionate about computers, and I thought that there might be a computer with thoughts and emotions like this one day.
Revisiting childhood memories, I also found some details in the film that could not be found in childhood:

1. The music in the film.
The music of the film adds a lot to the film. In order to match the theme of computer, almost all of the tunes have electronic music style, especially the adapted version of Bach’s Minute in G played by Madeline and computer Edgar, which is even more impressive, so that after many years in VOS and Jin When I heard it in the orchestra game, I immediately thought of this movie. The use of electronic music to play Bach was probably avant-garde and subversive in that era.

2. The legendary Wang Anji:
In the movie, when Miles bought a computer, the salesperson asked him if you like "Apple's, Pear's, or Wang's?", that Wang should refer to the legendary Wangan computer, right? I bought a book called "Computer Spirit Dragon" before, which tells the story of a famous Chinese in the computer industry at that time. I learned some things about Wang An from it. It must be in the era when the computer industry is contending with a hundred schools of thought. There is no unified standard for computer hardware. At that time, the Wang An Computer Company founded by Chinese American scientist Wang An was among the best. , And then gradually declined due to the rise of IBM, Apple, and Microsoft in personal computers. The story seemed to legend, after the death of Wang's leadership over to his son, the comment was made that the hereditary system is a major reason for the decline of the machine .... Wang said beside the point ....

3. When Escher’s painting was
young, I didn’t know who Escher was. I only discovered now that the puzzle piece when Miles was doing seismic tests turned out to be Escher’s famous painting "Rising and Falling". It’s no wonder that the architect must be fascinated by Escher’s paintings, because it expresses contradictions and impossibility, the illusion of the human eye and the unrealizable geometry in physics. The stairs are connected in a circle, obviously they have been going downstairs, but the circle is back to the original point! ....sweat! I digress again...

4. Quite no computer knowledge
Hollywood screenwriters and directors’ knowledge of computers is beyond the reach of computer professionals. Some of the descriptions in the movie are definitely typical of the typical, such as a graphical interface that can be understood by a super fool to a child who just talks, and a line command interface that is super intelligent and intelligent enough to understand the natural language input by humans. There are many funny computer-related mistakes in the film. There is no need to say such stupid things as pouring champagne on the motherboard to cool the computer... At the end of the film, because Miles and the computer have just had a "human-computer war". "A board card in the computer was removed. It should be a sound card. The computer can't talk anymore. Only the line text typed on the monitor communicates with Miles. Miles picked up the sound card from the ground and inserted it into the computer motherboard, and the computer opened his mouth to speak. ! Does the computer in 1984 also support hot swap? It's amazing! Even more miraculous, Miles didn’t get an electric shock. In 1984, personal computers were still quite unreliable. When I was young, I was electrocuted by the antique AppleII in Children’s Palace...

This movie is from 1984, a movie of my age. . Foreign reviews say that this movie so 1980s is indeed too 80s, but it is different in the 80s in China. I believe that many people in the late 70s and early 80s have the same memories and feelings about this movie as me.
