The movie was unexpectedly good! Compared with all of Dolan’s previous films, this one is my favorite. I didn’t report a lot of expectations because I don’t like his previous works. Maybe this sentence will touch some fans’ feelings. The noisy dialogue in his movie is really a bit incompetent. Although there are several arguing episodes in this movie, the length is small and not very important. So in the process of watching this work, I really left some ripples in my heart, allowing me to continue to be curious and expectant about the story of the two people while watching the movie! Maybe it's because the emotional drama between the two men really resonates with me. My thoughts are immersed in the film, even if it is over, they still stay there, continuing to portray the story of the two. The open ending makes the audience full of positive trends towards the story, which I like very much. I also like the composition and images in the film. Looking at the fallen leaves in the backyard in the late summer and early autumn through the window, this kind of artistic conception is simply not too beautiful! Another friend mentioned the passion scene of the two at the climax of the film. Dolan was so good at shooting. The language expression of the lens hits my excitement! love it! Editing and camera switching are also very sharp, with ease in retracting and rewinding! Although I personally prefer David Fincher's lens sense, I also like this one. The soundtrack was also a factor that hit me, especially the song Song for Zula, which matched the two people's random collision from the inner deer to the bold temptation. It couldn't be better! Having said so much, I don't care how other people think of this film, but I personally like it very much. But I really hope that Dolan’s future films will not go into the scene of the mother of the competition. It is really a bit repetitive. Besides, I don’t like this scene very much. If I can focus on the relationship between the two, I should be able to. Better. Dolan said that this film was inspired by CMBYN and the Kingdom of God. It is true that the settings of the two protagonists in this film are similar to those of the two films. The film does not clearly indicate the sexual orientation of the two people. It seems that they are both double? Same as CMBYN, except that the two people who love each other happen to be men!
