She seemed to be crying all the time in my memory, and the cry was suffocating. And her tidal panting, struggling like a dying person. And he has been following her stupidly, treating her like a piece of porcelain. I spent three nights watching this movie intermittently. It started to feel dull. It wasn't until the last night that I saw the stagnant sunlight in the film that I felt I was completely wrong. "Miyang" is too gentle, too calm. Li Cangdong is extremely stingy with the soundtrack in this movie. But on its official website, the song at the end of the film has been played in a loop. The longer you listen, the more obvious the complex feeling. It seems that neither happiness nor sadness is right. That desperate power is hidden so deeply. Especially when Shin-ae found out that the person she hated had already received God's forgiveness one step earlier, her overhead spiritual world was completely collapsed. This paragraph is particularly depressing. Until the end of the film, I was still thinking about the scene when she fainted. It turns out that faith is a topic that is not worthy of being explored. While it is used as an analgesic, it has become a bargain. I think this place in Miryang is an irony. Maybe she made a mistake when she came to this city. She wanted to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and live a normal life in the town where her husband was born. But vulnerable people always understand kindness too naively. An idealist strives to get out of the shadow of pessimism and exiles himself into an absolute state of life. Because the ideal is too absolute, when this life state deviated later, her entire spiritual world collapsed. That man was the first person she met in Miryang. He seemed to approach her in awe. He didn't even dare to admit that he liked her. Until the end, we have no way of knowing whether he has walked into her life. Maybe he doesn't know the right way, but he is the only person in that small town who really treats her. Even though everyone, including his mother, thinks that he is a worthless ruffian, how much value can a ruffian’s sincerity be? This role is actually very memorable. Because from the beginning to the end, the director did not uphold him any more. He is such a real person, so real that he doesn't seem to be a person who appears in the movie, but does not bear any role meaning for the movie. Many films will end with abrupt cessation. Some are purely mystery, and "Miyang" is the most used film I have seen so far. Because as the movie progresses, we, as the audience, have unknowingly become vulnerable and at a loss. In such a situation, any ending given by the director would be frustrating. So he turned off the camera. Throw all the unresolved fate in that piece of sunlight.
