As the last of the contemporary Finnish trilogy, Aki made a brutal movie that was darkened to the end. During the movie watching, I always thought of Renoir's "Bitch". The story structure of the film is so similar, except that the class has been exchanged, and the wicked are not punished. All misfortunes are left to the kind-hearted but cowardly bottom people alone.
Costinant is a security guard at a jewelry store. He has a dream of starting a business, always expressing his lofty ideals to a female friend, but his loan plan was rejected by the bank. His eccentric, withdrawn character was rejected by his colleagues. As a person at the bottom of society, he reveals his inferiority complex everywhere. There was no expression, no smile, but he was scolded by a tall strange man in the bar when he talked up to the beautiful woman. He held the wine glass and stood in the corner of the bar, his eyes humbled, and he was hit by the door of the customer coming out of the toilet. But he also has love. He wanted to buy a hungry dog on the side of the road, but was beaten by the dog owner... His image as a timid loser was seen by the boss of the criminal group, so the tragedy of Costinant Staged.
The gang boss arranged for his lover Mirya to take the initiative to get close to Costinant, in order to obtain the jewelry store code. The lonely Costinant fell in love quickly and naturally facing Mirya who took the initiative to give him a hug. They watched movies, ate, drove, and listened to the band (Aki’s private goods...), but whenever there was physical contact, Mirya made an excuse to leave. This troubles Cosdinant, but the humble one has no right to lose his temper. When Mirya found him and asked to see the jewelry in the jewelry store, he readily agreed. When he opened the door, Mirya saw the code, and the plan was half successful. After Mirja stunned Kostinan in the car, the gang ransacked the jewelry store. Costinant also became a suspect while being exploited. When Kostinan watched Mirya secretly put some of the jewels on his sofa to blame him, he did not say a word, but waited for the police to arrest him. He loves Mirya deeply, even if he knows he is being used...
After coming out of prison, he hid his unnecessarily criminal experience and found a job as a waiter in the restaurant. But happened to meet Mir Ya and the gang boss dining in the restaurant. The gang boss told the restaurant manager of his criminal past, and he was fired. An angry Kostinan stabbed the gang boss with a knife but was violently beaten by his bodyguard...Finally, he lay down and down on the river beach, cuddling with his female friend, wounded and hopeless.
Aki imposes such a despicable state of existence on the lives of people at the bottom, and continues to increase the intensity of torture. As the last part of the contemporary Finnish trilogy, it can be said to change the last light of the first two parts and give the three parts a complete darkness. The part came to an end. Lonely and low self-esteem people often respond hotly to the kindness of others, just like finding a superhero to rescue their helpless self. This is the biggest weakness of Cosdinant being exploited.
