In the 1960s and 1970s, Zhang Che and Hu Jinquan were recognized as the two standard bearers of the Hong Kong film "New Martial Arts Century". In contrast, Hu Jinquan's martial arts masterpieces are known for subtlety and subtlety, while Zhang Che's style is bold, prolific and often rough and hard. However, Zhang Che's masculine line greatly reversed the character of Hong Kong martial arts films, and created the mainstream trend of Hong Kong films led by male stars for a long time. The impact of this aspect is less than that of Hu Jinquan and other directors.
There are many books about Zhang Che and Hong Kong martial arts films. I remember that I backed up a thick copy of "Memoirs of Zhang Che" for my friends at the Kubrick film bookstore in Hong Kong last year. Now that I want to come, I really should let myself collect a copy. I don’t have much research on the master’s work, so I won’t pretend to write an essay here. I will reprint an article describing the impression of Zhang Che by Gu Long before his death to commemorate the master.

Zhang Che, who I know, is a strong and stubborn person. When he fell, he never let others help him up. Once I went to dinner with him, he I accidentally stepped on a step, I stretched out my hand to help him, and was quickly pushed away by him.
People with stubborn personality will inevitably be a bit more rigid. I'm used to being a director, I'm used to giving orders, and it's hard to accept other people's suggestions, so once I go the wrong way, it's hard to look back.
This kind of personality is one of the greatest tragedies of human nature.

Everyone is getting old. As we age, many complications will follow. Dizziness, hard of hearing, joint soreness, abnormal blood pressure, and weakened heart are all common cases, but the most terrifying ones Kind, or "old" itself.
"The old wing has a ambition for thousands of miles." Of course, the elderly should not lose his ambition and curiosity. The question is, do they still have the power to travel thousands of miles and the judgment to choose a direction?
If he still has it, plus the experience and wisdom he has accumulated over the years, he is a great man. If he has lost this power and judgment, and if he knowsly commits crimes and forces himself to do what he can’t do, that’s A tragedy.
Perhaps because of this, Zhang Che would do things that were not like Zhang Che would do.
