This is a love movie, I believe.
Penelope Cruz (the woman in Vanilla Sky) is so amazing, the role is unbearably real, she is fully integrated into the Idalia in the movie, the poor and disheveled woman. Although she lives in a crumbling house and lives only by cleaning the hotel, she has a pure and kind soul. She taught the audience what love is.
Compared to a year ago, watching this movie today hasn't diminished my touch and shock at all.

Stripping off the coat of romance novels, if you have to dig deeper, I think the director may explore: 1. The relationship between marriage and love; 2. How much life is determined by himself.

The tears didn't stop for the next hour (Penelope's makeup was amazing)

nice! More and more moving, evocative movies. I feel that the director has a good grasp of the plot, the heroine is distressing, and the male protagonist is not disgusting.
