One day I saw Tsui Hark doing an interview with Yang Lan. Tsui Hark seems very real without many attractive men and beauties. He said he doesn't like the ending of the tragedy, so in his movies, he will always give people some hope. I like what he said. Although the world is full of regrets, we should still have hope.
After watching this video, I think it's okay.
In Seven Swords, everyone is imperfect. Some people are hesitant to betray the beloved, some have hatred all the way, and some cannot let go of the emotions that have passed away. These imperfections tell us that they are just human beings, not gods. So despite their stunts, they still have no way to survive the common people.
Many people are complimenting Sun Honglei's acting skills. I think the flames are all the opposites he has played before. It is cold, dedicated, intelligent, and a little bit cold and humorous. It doesn't seem to be playing this role, it's really true.
There are indeed some flaws in the plot, one thing I never figured out: Why did the flames catch Chu Zhaonan, but Lu Zhu escaped?
