Tonight, I watched "Hemingway and Gailhorn". The reason for choosing this unsuccessful film was mainly because of his interest in Hemingway, and secondly because it starred in Nickel Kidman.
Kidman's performance was obviously overdone. The director’s problem is even greater. The rhythm is dull, the plot is disorderly and procrastinated, the stubbornness of Bai Sheng, the lack of climax throughout the article, and the lack of in-depth interpretation of the behavior of the heroes and heroines. Hemingway is not like a master of literature, but like a reckless man with no habit of thinking.
The Spanish Civil War, the Normandy Landing, and the Chinese Anti-Japanese War, these major events, even if used as a character background, seem to lack memorable scenes. However, this movie makes me feel that it is necessary to study the actual situation of the early Nazis in Spain and Italy.
