Started watching the movie again. . .

This film has changed my impression of zombie films. I always associate zombies with zombies, bloody fights, dilapidated empty cities, and a group of walking corpses. But this movie is different. The plot at the beginning is very interesting. It has three relationships: friends, family, and girlfriends. The structure of this story is very rich, and it also paves the way for the later complicated Winchester bar scene.

What I like the most is that part of the scene. In a crisis situation, we are the truest selves. Like a catalyst, zombies became a driving force for the advancement of the story, and at the end it pushed the story to a climax. The care for friends, the firmness of love, and the love for mothers were all inspired one by one. On the contrary, each supporting role showed a dark side.

Thinking back to myself, it seems like this in my life. I hide myself every day, trying to hide all the negative emotions. Trying to use the best side to face life and work, when the pressure comes up, I can't do it, and I begin to expose the bad nature. I doubt myself, hate work, and even migrate to my parents. Still have to be positive and release the pressure moderately.

In the film, there have been many scenes about homosexuality, whether it is the father of male pig's feet, the fat man, or the last piece of news. Am I too sensitive. . . But what is revealed is the understanding of this kind of emotion, which is a very fun element. . .

Shaun of the Dead quotes

  • Barbara: [over the phone] Some men tried to get into the house.

Shaun: Well are they still there?

Barbara: [over the phone] I'm not sure, we've shut the curtains.

Shaun: Did you try the police?

Barbara: [over the phone] Well I thought about it.

Shaun: Are you OK? Did they hurt you?

Barbara: [over the phone] No I'm fine. I'm fine.

    Shaun: Mum...

Barbara: [over the phone] Well they were a bit... bitey.

Shaun: [concerned] Mum, have you been bitten?

Barbara: [over the phone] No... But Philip has.

    Shaun: [calmly] Oh, OK.

    Ed: Has she been bitten?

Shaun: [to Ed] No, Philip has.

    Ed: [calmly] Oh, OK.

Shaun: Listen, Mum, what sort of state is he in?

Barbara: [over the phone] Oh, he's fine. Bit under the weather.

    Shaun: I see.

    Ed: What's the deal?

Shaun: [to Ed] We may have to kill my step-dad.

  • Ed: We're coming to get you, Barbara!
