Killing pleasure

Resting in the office at noon, I finally finished watching the first part of the famous "Kill Bill". The bloody killing scenes and cruel violent aesthetics of this movie made me nervous and excited. The thrill of killing and the extremely tense picture constitute the strong impression of this movie with great impact.

Before the opening captions were over, I heard a painful and rapid groan from the speaker, and then a blood-stained female face appeared on the screen, followed by a pair of feet in leather shoes walking. This picture is black and white, and the woman's black blood makes people feel uncomfortable, and the cold voice-over of a man is even more disturbing. A bang shot, and then the subtitle and title of "The 4th film by QUENTIN TARANTINO" appeared on the screen, and Nancy Sinatra's cover of "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" sounded. That music penetrated me hopelessly. Bang Bang, he shot me and I fell off the horse. I fell in the fourth film of QUENTIN TARANTINO.

This movie can actually be regarded as a combination of fragments that are partly deconstructed. Vengeful Brides Hospital escaped, traveled to the United States and Japan, killing one enemy after another. And Bill is always behind the scenes. Her joyful killing process also constantly challenged the audience's psychological bottom line. Uma Thurman’s hateful eyes are chilling, and the gloomy feeling runs through the film. And their close combat using cold weapons is more violent and beautiful than the shooting scenes.

The soundtrack and lens language of "Kill Bill 1" are quite good. In addition to Bang Bang in the opening movie, the soundtrack with rich oriental flavors that sounded from time to time in the film, matched with the intense fighting scenes, is very sensational. The director's pursuit of the beauty of the picture is also reflected in many long shots in the film. Ishii Miren's childhood experience, expressed in Japanese animation, feels quite unexpected. It is rare to see such a large part of the animation in the film, which can be regarded as the unique feature of the film.

Liu Yuling's face covered with freckles, small nose and small eyes is definitely not a beauty, but her good temperament makes her more and more flavorful as she looks at it. Perhaps in the eyes of Westerners, this is what a typical oriental beauty looks like. She played the role of Ishii Yulian, who kills and takes the head in a calm manner, and walks into the hotel unhurriedly surrounded by a large group of entourages. The temperament and the momentum are far from a cool word. And the scene of her PK with Uma Thurman in the snow is quite beautiful.

The director seems to prefer blood and gore. From time to time, there are scenes of broken heads and arms, and a lot of blood gushing out, which is a lot of red. I don't know how many gallons of red syrup will be used after making a movie. And the thrill of killing still lingered in my heart for a long time after the film ended. Lingering.

Kill Bill: Vol. 1 quotes

  • The Bride: [after quickly dispatching six Crazy 88's] So, O-Ren? Any more subordinates for me to kill?

  • The Bride: Then give me one of these.

Hattori Hanzo: They're not for sale.

The Bride: I didn't say "sell me", I said "give me".

Hattori Hanzo: [laughs] Why should I help you?

The Bride: Because my vermin is a former student of yours. And considering the student, I'd say you have a rather *large* obligation.

[long pause, then Hanzo walks to the window and writes Bill's name]

Hattori Hanzo: [in Japanese] You can sleep here. It will take me a month to make the sword. I suggest you spend it practicing.
