This is a story about choice, responsibility, rules and freedom. In the movie, Charlie is a person who has extremely high moral requirements of himself. Colonel Slade committed suicide twice, and Charlie rescued him because of his sense of responsibility. If the first time was just a temptation, then when Slade was really going to shoot, Charlie took his life. It can be seen that he is a very responsible person with a clear sense of right and wrong. Originally, the discussion of moral right and wrong has risen to the discussion of rules. Charlie doesn't say that this is because of rules, which are a manifestation of his values-I can't rely on betraying others to achieve my own future, even if I don't like this person. It is one thing for me to hate them. It is another thing for me to confess them. This is the rule, and the rule cannot mix personal feelings in it.
